Chapter 2 - Ghoul

"Hide, I'm getting Kinda worried. Kaneki isn't back yet, it's already 7." I said through the phone to Hide.

"Don't worry, you worry to much." Hide replied to me.

"Y-Your right. I'll just wait. I'm sure he's in good hands with Rize-San." I said nervously?

"See? What did I tell you?" Hide said.

"Hide, can you come over? I feel like I'm going to freak out if I'm alone!" I said really scared.

"Fine, your weird (F/N)."

"Thank you Hide!" I said trying to sound more happy.

Soon Hide came over and we talked and waited for Kaneki to come home, but he never did that night.

"Hide, Kaneki isn't home!" I told him as I settled myself in Kaneki's bed while Hide was on the floor with some padding.

"Maybe he went to Rize's?"

"But this is a first date! Kaneki is way to shy to."

"(F/N) just go to sleep. We'll find him tomorrow. Okay?" Hide asked.

"Mm..okay.." I said sadly.

"You really miss Kaneki don't you?" Hide asked.

"W-Well, kinda. I'm just worrying for him!" I said blushing.

"You can be real with me, Kaneki isn't here. It's totally obvious you miss him. Stop denying (F/N)." Hide said.

Hide was right, I was just denying the fact that I missed Kaneki. I was always worrying for Kaneki because he was more of a shy and 'fragile' kid. I decided to just let my thoughts go and try to sleep a peaceful night. It did make me feel better that I was in Kaneki's bed because it smelled just like him, like he was there.

'Why am I so weird..'

~ When Kaneki finally came back~
"S-Sorry (F/N)!" Kaneki apologized.

"Jeez Kaneki. I was getting really worried." I said as I crossed my arms.

"Yeah, she kept going on and on about you and that you were in danger or missing. And she even slept in your bed! Shame on you Kaneki." Hide said half joking.

I died on the inside. 'He knows I slept in his bed! I must be really weird now! Hide! Why!'

"I-it's because I kinda missed you!" I slightly yelled and blushed hard.

"I know, it's my fault." Kaneki said sort of guilty.

"Well, since you just came out of a hospital I might as well take care of you because Hide can't." I said looking at Hide.

"Then please do (F/N)." Kaneki told me.

"Here, eat this soup. It'll be softer for you." I said as I handed him the soup.

Kaneki and I went back to his apartment after we met up with Hide for a bit. He carefully took the soup from my hands and sipped a spoonful. Then suddenly he covered his hands over his mouth and ran to the trash to throw up.

"Aww, I'm sorry! Was it that bad?" I said really sad.

"Try this sandwich then." I said handing it to him.

He took a bite then he immediately threw up again.

"K-Kaneki? Are you okay?" I asked.

"What's wrong with me?" He asked.

"K-Kaneki?" I asked nervous.

Kaneki suddenly jumped on me and we fell backwards, he was on top of me and I was on the floor. I opened my eyes and they widened at my sight. Kaneki's left eye was like a ghouls!

"Kaneki! You're a G-Ghoul?!" I asked.

"Im so hungry. You look delicious." He said and he brought his head closer to my neck.

"Kaneki? What are you doing?" I asked starting to get scared.

"Meat."

I realized what was happening and I just closed my eyes and waited for the painful impact to happen, but instead I felt a warm liquid dripping onto my face. I opened my eyes to see a regular Kaneki crying.

"Kaneki.."

He got off me and he ran into his room and locked the door. I felt really bad for him, he didn't know what was going on and he almost ate his best friend.

"Kaneki? Open up?" I asked.

No answer.

"Kaneki?"

No Answer.

"Ken?"

No Answer. He just ignored me, and I called him using his real name.

'1..2..-

"THREE!" I yelled as I kicked down his door. He was on his bed, wrapped in his blankets.

I walked over to his bed, pulled up a chair and sat down.

"I'm not going to move out if this chair until you talk to me, I'll stay here all night."

~Kaneki's P.O.V~
Some time in the middle of the night, I peeked through a hold to check on (F/N). As I thought, she was still there. But she was sleeping on the chair and she looked really cold. I got up and put one of my blankets around her. After I did that I walked back to my bed but a hand caught my wrist.

"You thought I was sleeping huh?" I didn't say anything.

"Since your up, you might as well talk so we can get this over with Kaneki." (F/N) said to me.

I walked back to my bed and sighed. I told (F/N) the whole story and she just nodded.

"Well, you're a ghoul now. What are you going to do?" I asked.

"I'm going to Anteiku, I'll work there."

"Hmm? Why Anteiku?"

"Because all the workers are ghouls and they could help me." I said.

"Okay, I trust your decision." She said to me. She stood up and flopped down on my bed.

"Good night, I'm tired." And like that she knocked out.

It's been a month since Kaneki has been working at Anteiku and I became really good friends with Touka. Things have gotten better, they helped Kaneki with his Ghoul problem and they basically took him in. I would always visit Kaneki and Touka while they were working and I would work on some of my work.

"Hey Touka!" I said as I entered Anteiku.

"Hey (F/N). Usual? " Touka asked.

"Yep, thank you." I replied.

"Kaneki off today?" I asked.

"Yeah, he's with Yomo." She replied.

"Okay, thanks."

"Hey, do you like Kaneki?" She asked as she gave me my coffee.

"Umm, what do you think?" I asked.

"I think, yes."

"Am I that obvious?" I said really sad.

"No, it's just the way you are towards him. You care for him like a sister or a mom but at the same time like a girlfriend." She told me.

That brightened me up a bit. I am like a girlfriend?! Wow!

"Really? You think I'm like a girlfriend?" I said really happily now.

"Umm, sure." She said as she walked to the counter.

That's nice, I wonder what Kaneki thinks of me..
