Chapter 5 - New Number

Alison: 'No wonder you're still single...'

Shin: "I'll make arrangements with Miss Momoko for him as well."

I was so relieved my guy disguise worked.

Shin: "Unless... you belong here instead."

Alison: 'Oh... no...'

He walked right up to me, not taking his eyes off mine.

Alison: 'Shit shit shit!'

Shin: "Miss Eriksen, you may go now."

June: "Yes, sir."

She left.

Shin: "What is your name, lad?"

Rylan: "It's Rylan."

He stared at me for a good long while. Before smiling, cuffing my wrists, and turning back around. I heaved a sigh.

Alison: 'That was close.'

Shin: "Rylan, follow me."

I did. He took me up to the roof with a helicopter. We both got in and it took off.

Rylan: "Where are you taking me?"

Alison: 'Like I don't know.'

Shin: "Well, my beautiful prison down there is for women only, dear boy. I'm afraid I cannot house a dirty little thieving pervert such as yourself or your friends."

Rylan: "By 'dirty little thieving pervert', do you mean... a guy?"

Shin: "Precisely."

Rylan: "But, aren't you a guy?"

Shin: "I am the warden. Nothing less. Nothing more. So, I'm taking you to Miss Momoko. She's the warden of the men's Nanba prison."

Alison: 'Score!'

The rest of the flight was mostly in silence. He just asked me a couple small personal questions such as my age and where I was from. My stomach dropped when we landed. Partly because I wasn't used to flying and partly because of the nerves.

Rylan: "You sure it's okay to just drop in in the middle of the night?"

Shin: "Of course. Miss Momoko is always so happy to see me."

He took me to this warden's office.

Shin: "Miss Momokooo!! Did you miss me?!"

Momoko: "Damn you, Shin! Stop dropping in in the middle of the night!"

Alison: 'Riiight... happy.'

Shin: "Good to see you too, as always. Anyway, I have another sneaky little inmate. I'm hoping this is the last one. Unless you've got some other friends hiding in my buildings."

Rylan: "Uh- no. I assure you, I was the last one... you caught us."

There was a man standing next to Momoko who looked way more pissed to see Shin than she did.

Momoko: "Kenshirou, would you please go fetch the supervisors?"

Kenshirou: "At once, ma'am."

Momoko: "And Shin, you can leave the boy here."

Shin: "Aww, but I only just arrived-"

Momoko & Kenshirou: "Out!"

Shin: "Okay, okay."

Before he left, he clutched my shoulder hard and whispered to me.

Shin: "If I ever see you again, boy... I'll make you regret it."

Alison: "*gulp*"

Shin: "Have a good time!"

He left.

Momoko: "*sigh* He's such a pain."

Alison: 'Tell me about it.'

Samon: "Was that the other warden?"

Hajime: "He's so annoying."

Kenshirou: "I despise him."

Kiji: "He hasn't changed much."

Four men walked past me and stood in front of me with Momoko.

Alison: 'These supervisors are intense.'

Momoko: "This is the new inmate Shin dropped off. What's your name?"

Rylan: "It's Rylan."

Kiji: "Hm..."

The man in heavy makeup caught my eye. He was focusing on me intensely. I looked away.

Hajime: "Where will you put him, warden?"

Momoko: "I'm not sure yet. Rylan, tell us. Why did you break into the women's prison?"

Alison: 'Act like Honey... act like Honey...'

Rylan: "The aroma of all those lovely women in one place, I couldn't resist."

Alison: 'Heh, totes nailed it.'

Momoko did not look happy. For the obvious reason.

Momoko: "I see..."

Kiji, the one who appeared to be studying me, turned to Momoko, smiling.

Kiji: "Warden, I'll be glad to take him. He appears to be in the same boat as the two boys I just received. My cell 5 is currently vacant."

Momoko: "Yes, you're right. Okay, Kiji, he will be in your care."

Kiji: "Of course, warden."

Alison: 'This guy's going to be my new supervisor, huh?'

Momoko: "Rylan, from this moment on, you will be known as inmate number 41 of building 3 cell 5. Kiji, please take him to get his inmate tattoo."

He hooked a chain to my handcuffs. When he did though, to my surprise, he winked at me. He then pulled me out of her office.

Alison: 'Wait, did he just wink at me? What the hell does that mean?'
