Lola sniffed too and her eyes opened wide in realization. "Geez! Yes, Debbie is in the backyard." She quickly left the sitting room to the kitchen.

Demilade called Hailey back after Lola left the sitting room.

"We will take that one." He told her with a grin on his face.

She grinned. "That's great then. How do get..."

"Don't worry. I think that one will fit."

"Yeah, I was thinking so too."

"I will send the money. It might take a while since it is an international transfer but you will receive it."

"I trust you. When should we send it?"

"Next month. I'll text you the location. Thanks, Hailey."

"The pleasure is all mine, Darlington. Say hi to Lola for me."

"I will. My regards to Bob. It's been a while."

She chuckled. "That's right. He will be glad to know you asked of him. Thanks for the patronage, Darlington. It's an honor."

"No problem."

She smiled. "Congratulations on your wedding."

Demilade nodded gratefully. "Thank you. Bye." She bowed slightly and then the call ended.

"Really?" Lola asked, standing beside Demilade with her hand on her waist. She was glaring at him.

Demilade looked up at Lola and he heaved a sigh.

"Yes. That's what you wanted Lola. And I love it too. It's no biggie."

"Debbie is done. She will serve you your food soon. Bye." She walked over to the other side of the room to pick up her handbag.

"C'mon Lola, you're angry."

"Bye. We will see when we see." She said throwing her phone into her bag.

"Where are you going?"

"To my shop of course." She answered flatly. "I've got things to do."

"Lola, c'mon. You're angry." She said nothing and headed toward the door but Demilade got to her before she could open it and leave. "C'mon let's talk about it."

Lola heaved a sigh. It won't take anything for her to just walk away right there but the voice in her head won't let her do it. The words of her father keep ringing in her head as Demilade was pleading. Those words he said to her right after their last fight was being played in her head, repeatedly.

So, she turned around glaring at Demilade.

"I'm very angry, Demilade. You should respect my decision."

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I apologize." Demilade said sincerely. "I have the money Lola and you know that. I want you to have the best. You know deep down that you want it. I'm also curious to see how it will look on you."

She exhaled loudly and peered at his anxious face. "It's annoying to say that you're right." Demilade smiled. "But next time, it should be both our decisions. Not just you." He nodded vehemently. "And also Demmy, please learn to be frugal with your spending."

He nodded. "I will."

"Promise."

"I promise. I'll try."
