Lola turned around and went back to meet her friends. They were waiting for her beside the car.
"Who is that?"
"Yimika Davies," Lola answered them and she collected her car key from Ada. "And no more questions. Let's go home." And she climbed into the car.
Ada and Ibukun looked at each other and then shrugged. Then they opened the car and climbed in too while Lola started the engine and drove out of the car park.

Lola stood in front of the tall decorated mirror in her royal blue night robe made of thick cotton. She folded a hand under her bosom and the other one trailing lightly on the edges along her hairline.
She stared at herself in the mirror for a long while. She admitted to herself that she did look beautiful. The bridal makeup was extraordinary. And she looked so different in it coupled with the honey-colored eye contact she wore. She commends her best friend's work. She did a perfect job with her makeup and she couldn't be any less proud of her.
She concluded that she loved how she looked. She was so proud of her looks. She couldn't wait to see the expression on Demilade face when he sees her.
Thinking of Demilade, she thought. She had not seen him since the previous day after the engagement ceremony. Aside from the phone call that morning, she had not laid her eyes on him.
Loud voices and laughter from the other room took her attention away from the thought of Demilade. Her friends were in the other room talking and laughing at top of their voices. They were just as excited as her. It made her chuckle happily.
Her eyes landed on the empty bed where all the accessories she would be wearing were laying. Her necklace, her bracelet, anklet, earrings, and others were spread on the bed glistening under the bright light in the room. She was really excited about everything. Then, she turned to her wedding gown.
She was certain it was going to be the highlight of the day. It certainly would.
She grinned at the dress that stood in a gold mannequin beside the mirror. It brought back memories of the ordeal between her and Demilade regarding the gown.
That Saturday afternoon
She had come over to drop some things at Demilade house and she decided to spend a little time with him since he was alone at home and he had decided not to go anywhere that day.
"Have you gotten anything yet on the wedding dress?" Demilade asked her while he scrolled through some pages on his tablet.
Lola shook her head in reply as she took a small bite from the chocolate lace donut in her hand.
She was yet to get a wedding dress. Most of the dresses doesn't seem to please her and the wedding was in a month.
"No, none of the ones we've seen is up to my taste. I kind of like a few of them but there are too exposing. It's my wedding, not some night party. I trust my father. I know what he can do." She said chuckling a little.
Demilade just smiled and he said to her. "Come here." He gestured with his hand and she left her position to sit beside him. He pulled her closer and he brought the iPad in his hand closer to her so she could see whatever was on the screen. "I asked Mrs. Bakare to send some dresses to me to see if you will see anyone you like. Here." He gave her the large iPad and she took it from him, smiling gratefully at him.
She began to scroll through the pictures and Demilade just watched in silence.
"This one is good."
