Lola went to meet the lady who had stopped staring her way but just standing close to her, waiting for her to get to her while the girl who was beside her went over to the side of the car and climbed into the back seat.

"Hi, long time no see," Lola said with a small smile when she got to her presence.

"Yes, it has been a long time, Tiwalola." She replied.

Lola peered at her, taken aback that she knew her name.

"Why do you look so surprised that I know your name?"

"I don't remember us having any conversation where I told you my name," Lola said shrugging.

The lady laughed and nodded. "Yes. We never really have a conversation either. But, everyone knows your name." Lola furrowed her brow and she chuckled again. "You're getting married to Demilade Ninalowo. Half the globe that read the news knows that." Lola nodded in realization. "You're the talk of the town, the face of the media."

Lola shrugged. "Looks like it. And you already know about the wedding."

She nodded with a small smile. She was quiet for a while then she said.

"I know. You're such a lucky woman Tiwalola." She spoke in that usual tonation that she couldn't pinpoint. "You're the lucky woman. There are a lot of women out there that want what you have."

"Do you?" Lola suddenly asked before she could stop herself. She knew she once did.

She looked Lola in the eyes. She was still that same bold lady she met that day at Demilade's house. She thought.

"I did. But I realized that I was never going to have him back. So, I grew up. It was useless. Demilade loves you. And when he is in love... Nothing else matters. I witnessed that first hand." She chuckled. "He loves you. No point going for a fruitless course. Don't you think so?"

Lola shrugged.

"He picked you and you're the lucky girl. Congratulations, Tiwalola."

Lola was perplexed at her calm demeanor. This wasn't the woman she first met. She wasn't the woman at the shopping mall that day. She was different. She was still that sophisticated-looking woman with expensive accessories on her but something was different about her. Something changed in her, unlike the first time she met her.

Another thing was that she was sincere. She sounded sincere with her words.

And that was a bit surprising.

"Thank you."

She smiled at her, nodding.

"Mom, please let's go." The little girl from earlier appeared behind Lola.

Lola turned and looked at the girl. She was pretty. She looked like her mother but her skin color is different. She also has the same tonation as her mother. It sounded a bit like Spanish. She wasn't sure.

She turned back to her mother.

"I have no idea you have a child."

"I do. I had her from my first marriage." She admitted. "I'm coming Lyra." The girl nodded reluctantly and went back into the car.

"Do you want an invitation?"

"No, thanks. I got one from my friend. Sholape. You know her right?"

Lola nodded in agreement. "Okay then. I will be seeing you at the wedding."

"Alright. Congratulations again on your wedding."

"Thank you, Yimika." She grinned and nodded. "Bye." She watched her walk over to the driver seat, entered the car and she started the car.
