"It's not funny Lola." He groaned.

But she chuckled. "Yeah, it is." She laughed shortly again. She saw him roll his eyes. "He is just concerned. Give him the break."

"Whatever." He answered. And they were quiet for a while.

Demilade head fall back on the headrest of the chair and he sighed before turning to peer at Lola. She was busy ogling at him, a small smile tugging at the corner of her lips. He looked at her chest down to her cleavage. He muttered something she couldn't hear, looking away from her body as she was still in her bra.

"Are you okay?" She asked him.

He turned to her. "Aside from being a little horny, yeah I am fine." Lola giggled saying nothing. The air was filled with silence for a brief moment before Demilade turned slightly and faced Lola. "I'm glad things are back to normal. It's nice to have us back."

She touched his hand that was resting on the chair in the space between them.

"I'm also happy about that too. I know it is my fault that..." She paused. "I am sorry for..."

He cut her off, shaking his head. "Let's not go back to that Lola. It's by gone." He said, rubbing her thigh soothingly. "I don't want to talk about it anymore."

"Then..." Lola started. She seem unsure about what she wanted to say but Demilade urged her to continue.

"What do you want to say?"

"We are really good now, right?" She asked.

He smiled at her, trailing his hand on her naked thigh. "Yes. Very. Or are you not.."

She shook her head quickly. "We are." Then he nodded once with an 'I'm glad to hear that' look on him.

"Then... Can I... Are you.." Demilade raised a brow wondering why she was stuttering. She looked away. "I don't know how I should say this." She swallowed the lump in her throat. "I don't want to... to be forwarded but... I can't... I can't help it."

"What is it, Tiwalola?" Demilade asked staring at her, eyes locked with her. She stared at him, searching his face for any sign of uncertainty or anything that could make her think twice about what she wanted to ask. But she found nothing. His face was nothing short of reassuring and curiosity.

"Can I still have the ring back?" She asked with a bit of hopefulness and plead in her tone. She didn't hear Demilade reply or see his reaction as her eyes were on her hands. so she looked back up at his face.

His face was curled into a huge grin and it was so obvious that he was excited. Why was he so excited?

He rubbed his face and he nodded. "Of course. Why not? Yes. You won't believe how much I have been thinking about you saying that... How I have been waiting... hoping to hear you say that."

"So I can... have it back?" Lola asked, stuttering a bit.

He grinned at her. "It's yours in the first place. It's in the car." She pulled him into a tight embrace and she released a sob laugh, relieved.

He patted her back softly before she pulled away. She wiped away her tears with the back of her hands and looked up at him.

"I'm sorry I returned it that day and I..."

"C'mon, we talked about this. Stop going back to the past. Let's pretend that you left it with me and you want to get it back now. Okay?" He asked. She nodded in reply.

"Thank you."

"I should be thankful that you want to have it back."

"I really.... miss wearing it." She admitted as she stared at the finger where she had the ring before she took it off. He raised her chin so she could look at him.
