Y/N POV
Voldemorts voice was echoing in everyones head and it felt like torture.
"YOU HAVE FOUGHT VALIANTLY... BUT IN VAN... I DO NOT WISH THIS... EVERY DROP OF MAGICAL BLOOD SPILLED IS A TERRIBLE WASTE... I THEREFORE COMMAND MY FORCES TO RETREAT... IN THEIR ABSENCE... DISPOSE OF YOUR DEAD WITH DIGNITY... HARRY POTTER... I NOW SPEAK DIRECTLY TO YOU... ON THIS NIGHT... YOU HAVE ALLOWED YOUR FRIENDS TO DIE FOR YOU... RATHER THAN FACE ME YOURSELF... THERE IS NO GREATER DISHONOR... JOIN ME IN THE FORBIDDEN FOREST AND CONFRONT YOUR FATE... IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS... I SHALL KILL EVERY LAST MAN... WOMAN... AND CHILD... WHO TIRES TO CONCEAL YOU FROM ME..."
When his voice stopped Draco and Mattheo ran up to me.
"Its a trap my father is going to kill him" Mattheo whispered to us
"Harry should know that he cant be dumb enough to play right into his hand" I said
"He would if it meant to save everyone" Draco answered back
All the Death Eaters went back to the forest and everyone brought the dead to the great hall.
I was looking for all my friends and I had the biggest heart fulfilled moment when I saw them all sitting together waiting for Draco, Mattheo, and I. I ran up to Pansy and Maria and we collied into a great big hug. The boys joined in. Harry, Ron, and Hermione walked in and were looking at everyone.
So many professors and students gone.
So many sobs could be heard through out the great hall.
I wouldn't know what to do if I lost one of my friends. I couldn't bear to look at all the dead bodies. I started crying and Mattheo grabbed me and just kept me in his arms.
"What are we going to do" Thomas said
"If they come back we need to keep fighting" Connor blurted
"I don't think I can survive another attack" Maria cried
"Yes you can and you will. This friend group will not lose anyone." Theodore said
"We will fight because we will not lose" Draco yelled
"I won't give up" Blaise whispered
"I won't let my father win. This world will be nothing but darkness if he does." Mattheo yelled
"I just want to go home and forget this ever happened" Pansy sobbed
"I cant take all this death its heart breaking" I cried out
"If we are lucky we won't need to fight anymore" Pansy said
I saw Ron and Hermione leave the great hall so I followed them. A little while later I saw Harry coming down the stairs. I stayed behind a pillar so they couldn't see me and what I heard was so stupid it left me with no words.
"Where've you been?" Hermione asked
"We thought you went to the the forest" Ron blurted
"I'm going there now" Harry stated
"Are you mad? No! You cant give yourself up to him" Ron said
"What is it Harry? What is it you know?" Hermione interrupted
"There's a reason I can hear them... The horcruxes... I think I've known for a while... And I think you have too..." Harry says
"I'll go with you" Hermione sobs
"No, kill the snake. Kill the snake and then its just him" Harry blurted
Hermione gave Harry a big hug. Then Harry ran off to the forest.
I ran back to the great hall to find my friends who where exactly where I left them. I told them everything I heard.
"Why is Harry always so bloody stupid" Draco blurted
"I cant believe he is going to die for Hogwarts" Maria whispered
"He will be a hero" Blaise said
"Yeah unless the Dark Lord doesn't stop and just kills us" Connor said
"Dude don't speak like that" Lorenzo said
"He is right in a way though" I said
"Y/N!!!" Thomas yelled
"My father will kill anyone who gets in his way so if he kills Harry why would he not just take out the rest of us. It makes sense" Mattheo yelled back
"I cant do this anymore I cant take anymore fighting" Pansy began to cry again
"Pans we will survive" Draco told her while taking her in his arms
"I wish we could have seen our Parents. Like told them we are ok you know" Theodore said
"I know but we couldn't risk it Theo" I said giving him a hug
"I just hope they are all ok" Theodore said
"They are I can feel it" Mattheo said
I was never one to think about losing people I loved. I never thought this war was actually going to come believe it or not. My younger self could never have been ready for something like this. If I could go back in time I would change everything. I would be friends with Harry and everyone. Maybe things could have been different but you cant change the past. Everything happens for a reason. People live and People die. It's the natural order. It sucks but life isn't always going to be filled with cupcakes and rainbows. I mean come one what's life without a little bit of rain.
