Once upon a time, in a faraway land, a young prince lived in a shining castle. Although he had everything his heart desired, the prince was spoiled, selfish, and unkind. But then, one winter's night, an old begged woman came to the castle and offered him a single rose in return for shelter from the bitter cold. Repulsed by her haggard appearance. The prince sneered at the gift and turned the old woman away. But she warned him not to be deceived by appearances, for beauty is found within. And when he dismissed her again, the old woman's ugliness melted away to reveal a beautiful enchantress. The prince tried to apologize but it was too late, for she had seen that there was no love in his heart. And as punishment, she transformed him into a hideous beast and placed a powerful spell on the castle and all who lived there. Ashamed of his monstrous form, the beast concealed himself inside his castle, with a magic mirror as his only window to the outside world. The rose she had offered was an enchanted rose, which would bloom until his 21st year. If he could learn to love another and earn her love by the time the last petal fell, then the spell would be broken. If not, he would be doomed to remain a beast for all time. As the years passed, he fell into despair and lost all hope, for who could ever learn to love a beast?

"Little town, it's a quiet village, Every day like the one before. Little town, full of little people, Waking up to say..."

"There goes the baker with his tray like always, the same old bread and rolls to sell, every morning just the same, Since the morning that we came, to this poor provincial town." Y/n sang.

"Good morning, Y/n." The baker greeted her.

"Morning, monsieur."

"Where are you off to?" He asked.

"The bookshop! I just finished the most wonderful story about a world where people had superpowers, called-" Y/n started.

"That's nice." He interrupted, "Marie, the baguettes! Hurry up!"

Y/n shrugged and continued.

"Look, there she goes, The girl is strange, no question." Two elderly women sang. "Dazed and distracted, can't you tell?"

"Never part of any crowd"

"Cause her head's up on some cloud"

"No denying she's a funny girl that Y/n" The town sang together, Y/n hopped on a cart and watched the houses go by.

"Bonjour,"

"Good day,"

"How is your family?" A man asked.

"Bonjour," A woman greeted him back and bought some ham.

"Good day," The man said back and looked at her chest area.

"How is your wife?" The woman asked, and watched in amusement as the man got hit with a rolling pin by his wife.

"I need six eggs!"

"That's too expensive."

"There must be more than this provincial life." Y/n jumped off the cart and entered the book shop.
