Part 9

"Uhhhh..." Jungkook stopped, trying to think of something to say so the lady wouldn't get the wrong idea and run out yelling for help. "My girlfriend needs help with something." He blurts out causing you to widen your eyes.

"What-" you get cut off when Jungkook pinches your arm causing you to wince in pain.

"Look she's in pain, she needs me. Please leave us alone." He politely said to the lady who waited for a few seconds left in a bit of suspicion but then she left.

"You jerk!" You slap his chest with both your palms.

"Ow!" Jungkook winced playfully, smirking. With his hands already around your waist he pulls you harder on himself leaving you in an awkward position. "I can't taste my lips, can you do it for me?" He leaned up close to your ear, smirking, making your heart race. His finger traveled down your bare back, icy and eager with expectancy, as if he was desperate for something from you. But when he leans up from your ear and stares you in the eyes, you gasp and turn away. They were sinister and shrieked fright, but they were also lustful, hoping to engulf you like a man who had been ravenous his entire life. His eyes hoped that tonight would be the same as it had been a year ago, when you were HIS.

"Why?" You decided to play along. "Are you horny again?" You smirk and pull his face closer to yours by grabbing onto his collar. He smirks back, enjoying every bit of it. "Do you want it?" Whispering, you run your fingers through his hair causing him to get intimidated by you.

"If you don't mind, princess." He was bold and confident, leaning in even closer hoping to receive something from you by tonight.

"Nah, forget it," you say, pressing your palms on his chest and pushing him away, making him scowl. "You're not my type anymore." You smirked and inspected him in a judging manner before exiting the bathroom, leaving him hot, blood boiling, and fists balled.

As you leave the bathroom, you order a drink from the bartender and approach Taehyung, who wraps his hand around your waist and introduces you to his friends.

But,

All that is interrupted by a sweet melody coming just right from behind you.

The audience fell silent when a wonderful sound interrupted their conversation. Every member of the crowd turned to face the sound, their drinks in hand, and smiled at the exquisite melody. Slow but hypnotic. So recognizable. You arch your brows. It made your heart skip a beat. The sound became louder, and you could feel tingling sensations on your skin, cheekbone, and hair. Your heart began to race as the volume increased. You immediately turn around.

Jungkook.

He was sitting at a massive, gleaming black piano that mirrored the sky on a warm summer night, coaxing impossible-to-soothe and wonderful tunes from it. He was playing every note from his song on the piano, his fingers flying across the keys, the beautiful melody echoing throughout the enormous party hall. He seemed lost as his fingers flew over the keys like swallows darting in a pond for fish.

"Still with you..." You whispered as you recognized the tune. It was the same song that Jungkook wrote for you on the day of your first year together.

As he grows accustomed to the tune, he begins to sing the song's lyrics. Your mouth parts slightly, and the beauty of this man sitting, playing a song devoted to you, glistens in your eyes. His voice is lovely. His voice has a very smooth and mellow tone to it. His voice has a lively and brilliant quality towards it, as well as being quite soothing.

"The moon looks lonely" he sings while running his fingers on each key of the piano that corresponds to the melody of his song.
"Like it's crying in the bright night sky,"
"Even though I knew it was going to be morning one day,"
"I wanted to stay in your sky like a star,"
"Everyday,"
"Every moment,"
"If I knew this was gonna happen,"
"I would have remembered more of them,"

Those lyrics.

It hit you straight in the heart. It made you want to cry and reach up to him, hug him.

It made you miss him.

And then comes your favorite part when he sings,

"If I see you again,"
"I will look into your eyes,"
"And say, "I missed you"

But as he sings "I missed you" he looks up and smiles at you, making your heart leap out of your chest. Every note of that tone was weaved with such beauty that even the bees humming near the lily flower pots left their sugary love to dance around the piano.

You close your eyes and enjoy the sweet tune but it stops and the audience cheer and clap so you open your eyes back again and see Jungkook staring right at you without blinking.

He smiles, his eyes lost just in you and nobody else.

and you,

well,

you smile back,

but this time,

truly,

with all your heart.
