The problem with the amalgamates goes all the way back to alphys being hired to begin with. She was not qualified for this job and asgores unprofessional lack of background checks and her equally unprofessional lying to make herself look better is what was really responsible for the whole thing. If this were real life she and asgore would both be public enemy #1
