"Why not? You started your sentence so you better finish it."

"I almost swore, mum.."

"So!? Fucking finish it!!"

"Just please stop pacing back and forth, it's quite irritating."

"Fine." She growls and stops pacing, "Tammy, be a useful little girl and get the letters for me, will you?"

".... Yes, mum...." My sibling whimpers, then xey run to the door.

"Mum, stop misgendering xem, xey have told you multiple times that xey are agender, but not once have you listened to your child, have you?" I protest, tired of her shit.

"Shut up you irritating fuck, I do listen to my daughter." She says to me while washing the dishes, even though most of them are clean. "Mother, there are no letters at the door." Tammy murmurs as xey enter the doorway, "I heard what you said by the way."

Lexi sighs, "Okay, go clean your room."

Tammy and I sigh, "Alright..." . And we head to our shared room.

"Mum's so mean sometimes, isn't she?" Tammy says to me.

"Yup, you're right, Temmie." I laugh and open the door

"I thought I told you to quit calling me that!" Xey giggle as we enter the freezing room.

I start to fold my blanket, that was blue, but the colour is faded so now it's a pretty baby blue. "You did, but I like the nickname so it's just going to stay." I smile.

"Ha, alright, but you need to find more interesting nicknames for me, I don't really like being named after an undertale character." Tammy groans as xey make xeir bed out of multiple blankets so xey can properly cocoon xemself with them.

"You do realise how difficult that is going to be!?" I tut as I finish making my bed.

"No!" Xey laugh and start cleaning the floor and carpet.

After awhile, Lexi, or my mother comes in, "It's 6:30, come to the kitchen." She then leaves as quick as she came into our room.

"Ant, you go first, I'll be there in a minute." Tammy says to me while cleaning the floor.

"But there might not be enough food for you!" I try to protest

"Don't worry about me, worry about yourself."

"Tammy-"

"Just, go get your food"

"Fine..."

I head to the kitchen, my Mon and both my aunts, Angie and Hannah are there, along with auntie Hannah's partner, April.

"Where's your sibling?" My mother asks.

"One, xey are cleaning the floor and will be here in a bit." I say to her.

She falls silent, her friends and sister talk about something with eachother. A thing I don't know about. I grab a plate and wait patiently for my food, hopefully I'll get something good today.

"Here's some palmeni , the one that you like this time" she smiles slightly as she says it. She grabs a fork and gets I big bit of the food from a bowl, there's also another bowl full of palmeni.

Tammy walks into the room

"Hello, Tammy, we are having palmeni today, please grab a plate" Mum smiles brightly. Tammy, as per usual, does as xey are told, and takes a plate.

Mother puts the same amount of palmeni on Tammy's plate that was on mine, and smiles. Tammy then walks to the dinner table, where I'm at, and sits down.

I mess with my food, I'm not hungry. Tammy is actually eating it. "Why do you even like that!?" I gag. "Yes. I do. Why aren't you eating?" Xey ask me.

"Not hungry." I say

"Anthony, you have to eat, you haven't eaten in like- two days!" Xey protest

"True, but, I am not hungry."

"Anthony, eat your food" our mother sighs, while getting something out of a bowl and onto a plate.

I pick up my fork and start eating, and eating until the plate is almost clean. My mother looks in shock and grabs my plate and starts cleaning it. She discards her own plate entirely, it's getting cold.

The clock hits 7:00 and her friends leave, presumably to go home.

"Sorry I've been so rude to you two, I'm just stressed with word and all that jazz." She speaks up

All she gets in return is a harmonized, "It's okay." from Tammy and I.

"Thank you, anyway, it's time for you two to go to bed."

"Why? It's the weekend!"

"I know, but I'm not letting you two stay up 'til 3am."

I'm the first one to get up and go to bed, soon Tammy follows me. The bedroom's still cold, but it's getting warmer, slowly, slowly.

I get my pj's and go into the bathroom to change. After I change I go into my bed and drift to sleep ...

"HELLO!! I DIDN'T KNOW I'D SEE ANY HUMANS TODAY!!"
