"Excuse me, Miss? Are you alright?" A kind voiced bystander leans crouches down in front of me. Before I can stop myself, I grab his throat. He gurgles in surprise and fear, his eyes going wide. As soon as I realize what I'm doing, I drop him. Terror fills me and I back up as far as possible from him. "What are you?" He gasps out.

I start sobbing anew, and instead of running away from my talons and fangs, the man inches closer to me. I pull my knees to my chest and let the tears fall.

"Miss, is there anyone you want to call?" The man asks, unafraid. I shake my head, but the man crawls over to me. He sits next to me and just waits for me to stop crying. "Here, I'm going to call my girlfriend all right? She may be able to help you." The man pulls out a phone and quickly calls someone. Just that word makes me cry even harder.

Ten minutes later, a woman about three years older than me, walks up to the man.

"What's wrong? Why is she crying?" She leans down in front of us.

"I don't know. I saw a man walk away from her and she started crying. I got too close and she choked me for a minute." He quietly laughs for a moment. "But one thing is certain. She's not human."

"What do you mean?" The woman asks, clearly confused.

"Her eyes are almost glowing, she has really sharp incisors, and she has talons. Plus she's crying blood." The woman doesn't respond. They continue to sit there, unafraid of me.

I eventually fall asleep, because when I wake up, someone is shaking me. "Lizzy, come on. Everyone's worried about you." I immediately open my eyes and lift my head, my eyes blurry.

"Daniel?" I whisper hopefully. The form shakes his head.

"Isaac." He crouches in front of me and waits for my eyes to focus. They finally do, and I see an extremely worried Isaac in front of me.

"How did you find me?" I start to stand up, but dizziness washes over me and I sit down again.

"I found Daniel come back into the dorm, crying. He said you were probably still here." He looks over at me, a frown playing at his mouth. "You also left a little trail of tears and this couple here has been waiting for someone to come for you."

I look past Isaac and at the couple, who're standing a little behind Isaac. The rising sun giving them a radiant look. "He broke up with me." My lower lip trembles.

"I know. He told me." Isaac digs in his pocket and gets a tissue out for me, and I wipe the bloody tears off my face. "Anyway, the brightness of your eyes says it all."

"Where's Blaise? I really want to talk with him." I know he would comfort me.

"I forgot to bring him. Anyway the park has a no pets allowed policy." He looks apologetic, and the couple just looks plain old confused.

"Ok. You can go now. I just want to lay here and die." I rest my head against the sign and close my eyes.

"You're already dead though. I don't think I could bear to see it happen again. You wouldn't do that to me, would you?"

"No." I open my eyes and look at Isaac.

"Then come on. We need you to get back to campus. A Huntress does what she needs to." Isaac urges and grabs my hand, ignoring my talons.

"I'm not a Huntress anymore, I'm the prey." I get up anyway, but fall down, fatigue pressing on me.

"Oh, here." Isaac hands me a bottle of blood and I eagerly drink it. "Ms. Keefe gave it to me. She said that you'd probably need it from crying so much." He tucks a strand of hair behind my ear.
