Chapter 11

"Well, at the party, everyone betrayed me, or well, fought me, it's obvious now, somebody mind controlled everyone." I say as Maggie opens her eyes in disbelief

"you fought the entire school? wow....... and you won I am guessing?" she said as I nodded, she sighs and mutters a 'nerf this guy already'

"Well, I see what happened, now next order of business, who brainwashed us? " she says as I start thinking

"The person who brainwashed us, he would have had to be close to the place, the turf ground is a little out of way so it wouldn't make sense for people to come this way, let's check the cameras and see who all came here." I say as she nods

We started running to the turf field, we made our way to the camera room and there was a single nightguard, 2.9 night vision, seems handy, yoink.

"Wha- Kids, what are you all doing awake at night?" he says as I was about to say to let me in as I was the king of New Boston, but I had already left so I had no right.

"I am the Queen of new boston, I need to check the Cameras." she said as the guard flinched and said

"Go ahead, but make it quick, you kids should be sleeping by now" he said as we nod

We made our way in and quickly checked that cameras for what happened yesterday, we started checking on who all went in the vicinity after 10:30. One adult, a man came in, with a hood on with shady clothing, we continued watching the recording.

He just stood there standing, at 10:52 exactly, he grabbed a kid and pulled them into the alleyway, his eyes glowed and kid stopped resisting, he let the kid go and just went away.

We couldn't see his face, but his eyes glowed a bright pink, that means he has pink eyes and possibly pink hair. I could try to find him but my sensing has it's limits.

"Maggie..... I think we got the one we wanted" I say as she nods

"I don't even know if this bastard has left the city or not, we gotta make it fast." I say as we both run out, I activate my ability and start running around looking at levels. the only place where someone who probably isn't from here could stay, a hotel.

I run to the hotel that most people stay in, it's the only good hotel in town and any self respecting person would stay in it. 

I suddenly stop. I need a better plan, we can't just call the cops on someone without sufficient proof, I can verify that that person has a mind control ability but they could just say n-.

With my lie detector, they can say no, but with the lie detector of a cop, they would say yes. I immediately made a detour and told Maggie to follow me, she became confused.

"Wha- where are we going? I thought we would go to the hotel" she said as I said

"Just getting the guy won't work, we need a cop for this, or well a certain cop" I say as she stops saying anything and I keep running

We reach the police station and there were a few cops there, but not the one we need

"Hello Officers, I need some help" I say as they all moved their attention to me

"Wha- Kid what are you doing awake at this hour?" they say as I shrug and say

"You all remember my case from yesterday right?" I say as a few nod

"It would be kinda hard, a kid winning a 1v500 is not something that happens everyday" one says as I nod

"I know why they all suddenly turned against me" I say as the cop sits straight
