Little did she know that her dua was going to be accepted sooner than she could imagine. Folding her prayer mat, she quickly hopped back in her warm bed to catch up on some sleep
It was a weekend and weekends at maya's house called for parathay. Paratha and anda, was one of her comfort foods and getting out of bed at 11 to enjoy the desi breakfast had to be one of her favourite things. As she sat sipping on her warm chai, the phone rang. Even before someone picked it up, Maya knew who it was; her Mamu. A smile lit up Maya's face as she answered the phone. "Assalamualikum mamu jaan", Maya greeted, to which her Mamu replied with equal adoration for his youngest and favourite bhanji. After some small talk, she handed the phone to Zoya, who finally said that one phrase Maya had been dying to hear. "Mamu ji, we are coming to Spain next week" and Maya's happiness knew no bounds. She instantly started jumping in happiness. But that wasn't because of the amazing beaches and tourist attractions, nor the excitement of going away after being stuck in the UK for two years because of corona, it was a simple, one word reason, Arhaab.
