Jungkook's long tendrils of hair are tucked delicately behind his ears, framing his face in a heart. His raven colored waves shine under the streams of sunlight still clinging to the day, their beams peeking through the leaves that still remain on the trees. Jungkook's lips are curled into a big smile, eyes covering Jimin in shy glances, never staying for too long on one area in particular. Jimin finds this kind of endearing, how bashful the other stands before him, plenty of inches taller, broader, looking like his wardrobe is made up of nothing but black clothing and chains with the occasional white t-shirt. He has the audacity to be shy, to find eye contact unbearable, but to keep a cheeky grin plastered on his lips nonetheless.
"Hi." Jungkook whispers, jutting out one of his hands, but keeping the other behind his back. Jimin takes the hand extended towards him in something of an awkward handshake. Jungkook's hand is warm, big. It's as if the other caves under the pressure and releases a nervous chuckle, bringing his hidden hand out from behind his back. It's carrying a shiny leather jacket, black as Jimin suspected. It's smaller than something of Jungkook's own should be, he can tell even before he accepts it, sort of as if Jungkook had shopped for it just for him in particular. He probably did, and that makes Jimin's heart flutter a little bit.
"You really brought me a leather jacket." Jimin mumbles under his breath, sounding a little bit surprised and in awe at the same time. He admires it in his hands before clearing his throat and tucking the jacket into his arm. He steps back into his home and holds the door open for Jungkook to enter. "Sorry, hi. Come in."
Jungkook laughs nervously again, folding his now empty hands together in front of him. Before he can take a step inside Jimin's home, thoughts of how lucky he is to actually see how the other decorates and such swirling around in his busy head, the existence of a big, fluffy, black dog catches his eye. Jungkook's hands unclasp, jaw unclenching and falling open as he recognizes who she must be. "Beans." He says with tears already pricking behind his eyes. All of the time he'd spent agonizing over what happened to her, knowing that she might've been just too painful of a reminder for Jimin to hold onto. He'd left everyone else behind, why not Beans? It always made sense that he would've, Jungkook always assuming that she was with Jimin's parents, never daring to feel the heartbreak over the thought that he'd given her away to a stranger. But, here she is looking happy and healthy and content beside the smaller man.
"Yeah. She wanted to see you." Jimin says with a nervous chuckle of his own. He rests his hand on the top of her head between her ears, giving her little pets and gentle scratches.
Jungkook wipes the tears that pool up and threaten to spill over with the backs of his fingers. He sniffs loudly and exhales a hearty laugh, feeling relieved. Happy. He bends down in front of Beans, extending a hand to ruffle the fur on her chest. She stands up and gets closer, pushing herself into his arms, desperate for the attention and pets. Her furry body and large frame wedge between Jungkook's thighs, nearly knocking him over and forcing him to hug her. He complies, eyes glossy with brimming tears as he buries his face into the top of her head, his fingers lost in her fur. "She's so big now." He says, voice muffled by Bean's desire to be held. "She's so fluffy."
"She got big like you did." Jimin says almost matter of factly. "I guess she takes after you more than me in that respect."
Jungkook pulls his face away from Beans to catch the little smirk that colors the other mans expression. He raises an eyebrow at the comment and the sudden cheeky nature of the interaction. "You still think of her as mine, too?"
"Anyway." Avoid the question. What have you done?Jimin scolds himself, dropping the smirk and turning away to hide the now nervous bite of his lip. "We should go. It's gonna get dark." As if he's scared to be alone after dark with Jungkook. Maybe he should be. It was mostly just a change of subject.
"Well, Jimin," The taller starts and he picks himself up from Bean's level of vision. "If you don't want to be out after dark then maybe we should stay in."
Jimin rolls his eyes. "Let's go." He says without paying any mind to any concerns or questions that might be inside of the others stare. He stoops down to kiss Beans on the head and pulls away with a wave. "Bye little one." And without even looking back he makes his way to the front door again, the jacket Jungkook brought to him coming to mind as soon as the chilly air trickles right through his thin cardigan. Jimin takes a couple steps onto the porch and stops without warning, suddenly feeling the other collide into his back, an arm snaking around his waist to keep him steady. It immediately recoils and Jimin feels the warmth that was just momentarily pressed against him vanish as fast as it came. "S-sorry." Jimin mutters. Stuttering now? "I want to put this on. It's cold."
"Yeah, no it's okay. Go ahead." Jungkook turns around, cheeks flushed, and he waves to Beans, closing the front door behind himself. When he turns around again Jimin is watching him with a curious expression, jacket more form fitting than he imagined it would be and it looks perfect on him. "Is it warm enough?" He asks, resisting the urge to reach out and adjust the collar of it.
Jimin nods, breaking the eye contact this time before they can get carried away with it. Whatever that means. "It's warm. Thank you, I love it."
Jungkook rocks back on his heels, shoving his hands into his own jacket pockets. "I'm glad."
Before now, Jimin hadn't really noticed Jungkook's outfit of the day. As concerned as he was about causality of his own attire, it should've crossed his mind sooner. Dressed in all black, of course with no surprise, Jimin notices how their jackets seem to match. Almost identically. The only evident difference is that the taller has paired it with a matching pair of leather pants and a black t-shirt underneath. He really does look like a rockstar and it's regrettable how fast it makes Jimin's breath catch in his throat. "S-so. You're driving?" Stuttering again, really?
As if he'd been waiting for the cue, Jungkook pulls his keys from his pocket and rattles them. "Yep. Let's go." He watches the other turn to go down the stairs, dropping his gaze to his feet to muffle a bit of a chuckle, and suddenly he's colliding with the mans backside again, almost pushing him down the last couple of steps. He makes sure Jimin is perfectly on his feet again and creates a bit of distance.
"You have a Benz?" Jimin doesn't even think to apologize this time, overwhelmed by the car he finds in his driveway.
Jungkook smirks. "It's a rental." He says as he circles around one side of Jimin, taking wide steps towards the car to chivalrously open the passenger door. Jimin's feet stay planted where they are.
Of course it's a rental. Jungkook doesn't live here. "But, still." Jimin clicks his tongue, brows furrowing. "That's still a lot." He takes a deep breath to get over the surprise and he shakes his head at the other, hoping they can brush it off now. "Sorry. It just caught me off guard. I've never been in one."
That statement makes Jungkook a little bit sad. The smaller seems so overwhelmed by the price tag of his car. He really doesn't know anything about his life. He watches Jimin climb into the car, fingers touching the dash with gentle caresses and wide eyes as if the car is made of gold and diamonds. "There's a first time for everything, right?" He smiles when his words catch the others attention. Jimin looks happy, his bright eyes sparkling. He's perfect.
"Jungkook?"
Suddenly bright eyes turn into furrowed brows again and Jungkook realizes he was staring. "Yeah. Sorry." He closes the door softly, making sure not to take off any limbs, and circles the front of the car to let himself into the drivers seat. He turns on the heat right away, it's warmth garnering a soft relieved sigh from the body beside him. "If you get too cold just let me know."
Jimin nods, placing his hands over the heater vents. Jungkook hasn't changed at all. His date etiquette is as perfect and shiny as it always was, but now the man seems sure of himself and his actions. He seems set out to impress and make the best of whatever they get up to and that makes Jimin more nervous than anything else could. "So." He begins, eyes narrowing on the other as the car reverses out of his drive way. "Where are we going?"
