Finally! (Camilo X Reader)

part 16: why.

"Angelo? What are you doing here? What happened to you?"

"Well, i just wanted to see my favorite sibling of all time." He says with a smile while messing up your hair.

"And what happened to you?"

"What?"

"You're covered in blood!"

"Oh, i don't know." He simply says.

"Woah, what's going on?" Camilo joins the conversation.

"Who are you?" Angelo asks.

"This is my friend, Camilo. Camilo this is my brother."

"Pleasant to meet you." Camilo says.

"It isn't to meet you." Angelo says with a smile.

"Can he come in?" You ask Camilo.

"Yeah, sure. I'll alert Julieta."

"Okay, I'll just bring him to the kitchen."

You grab your brother by the arm and get to the kitchen. He leans against the counter and wraps his arm around himself.

"What happened? Where did you go?" You ask concerned.

"Look, i understand you have lots of questions right now. And i will answer them just not now."

"Why didn't you tell me? Or at least leave a note?"

"I'm sorry, i didn't think of it. I didn't even want to leave."

"Then why did you?"

"Dad made me. He didn't even let me dat bye to you."

"Why would he do that?"

"Because he thinks I'm a bad influence on you. You probably didn't notice, but dad's really emotional abusive, just not to you."

You are shocked. Your dad? Emotionally abusive? You get he's an asshole, but abusive?

"I mean, i noticed i was his favorite, but why would he do such a thing?"

"I don't know? But that's really why we all left as soon as we could. I really wanted to take you with me, i swear. But he wouldn't let me."

Just then Julieta and Camilo walked in. Julieta lets out a loud gasp by seeing Angelo. "How did that happen?" She asks concerned.

"Well I've been pretty much homeless for the last year and i steal to get by. Last time i got caught and beaten up." He says nonchalant.

"You say it like it's the most normal thing." You roll your eyes.

"It is for me."

"It's okay, I'll make you something to eat and you'll feel a lot better." Julieta says.

"Thank you, Señora." Angelo says gracefully.

Everyone just stays silent while Julieta makes something for Angelo. When it's done Angelo eats it and immediately the scars on his face start fading.

"There, much better." Julieta smiles.

"Thank you very much." Angelo smiles back at her.

"No problem, we'll let you two talk for a moment and after that you can clean yourself up a little. I'll look if my husband has anything in his closet that fits you."

"Alright, thank you again!"

Julieta and Camilo both leave the kitchen and it stays silent for a little while.

"She's such a nice lady." Angelo exclaims after a little while.

"She really is.."you sigh. "Where did you go?"

"As i said, I'm pretty much homeless."

"Then why didn't you just stay near me and just tell me where you're going?"

"I don't know, y/n. It was really stupid of me not to just stick around for a little to explain it to you."

"Yeah, it really was. What are you even doing here?"

"Well, i was going to come back for you, finally. But you weren't there, dad wasn't either. So i asked one of your friends and they told me I would find you here."

"But why? Why all of the sudden? After a year you just decide to come back?" You ask a bit frustrated.

"The guild just hit me. I left you with a emotional abusive, mentally ill father. Who knows you might have ended up like me. I would never forgive myself if that was the case."

"You're right, glad i didn't. I would never live with myself if i would leave my family like that."

"Y/n I'm sorry. I really didn't want to leave you behind. I was stupid and foolish to give up so easily."

"I know, but you could've just said something, you know?" Tears start forming in your eyes but you hold them in. You can't cry right now, it'll make you seem weak. Just suck it up.

"I tried! Dad wouldn't let me. Again, i should've waited to tell you, i was just stupid and acting like an idiot."

You scoff. "You really were."

"Y/n, please just understand where I'm coming from. You don't need to forgive me and you shouldn't. Just please, i can't live with the fact to think my sibling hates me."

It's stay silent for a moment. "I don't hate you, Angelo. I'm just upset."

"As you should." He says strongly agreeing with you.

"But i forgive you. You're my family after all, and it's not like you and that big of a choice."

"Oh, thank you so much y/n! You're Literally the best person i know." He says while hugging you.

You give him a few pats on his back. "You should get cleaned up." You say.

He lets go of you. "yeah, right. I'm sorry."

"It's fine. Next time maybe don't hug me when you're covered in blood."

"Yeah no i won't." He says with a little chuckle. "I'll get going now. Don't worry, I'll just look around this place to find that lovely lady."

"Alright, good luck."

He leaves the kitchen and you just stay in there for a moment. Your brother just shows up after being gone for a year, coverd in blood. He apologizes for everything and you forgave him. It really hurt you when he left, but he's family and family is more important than anything. He's one of the last family i have, but he only decided to come back.

You walk outside of the kitchen and are immediately met with Camilo. "Are you okay?" He asks.

"I'm fine, just a bit... Down."

"Hey, that's alright. I understand, it's weird." He says while putting his hand on your shoulder for a little.

"Are you okay for moving the date to another day? I don't really feel all to good."

"No, no. That's fine." He says with a smile but you can hear the disappointment in his voice.

"I'm really sorry, i just think i would ruin the it because of all this."

"No, it's alright. I understand."

"Okay."

The rest of the day you kind of just chat with your brother about what he has done the past year. At dinner you introduced everyone to him. Even after dinner he's still talking about his adventures. They are really fun to listen to, although they all mostly end with him in trouble, but who really cares? He had fun.

He's staying in the same bedroom as you, on a mattress on the floor. You both decide to just head to bed early. You fall asleep rather quickly.
