Happy birthday, Cupcake

So, apparently, Caitlyn was first introduced to League on January 4th so...Happy late birthday!

I was supposed to release this yesterday, but some IRL stuff came up

"I told you I can't be here. I'm supposed to be working!"

The young Kiramman repeated as she was being guided down a velvet-clad hallway

Walking with her, was her longtime friend, Jayce Talis. The man was grinning like a fool and had a wrapped present with him

Jayce: Your parents said they'll find a way to make Marcus give you the day off

They reached a golden door at the end of the hallway. He went to reach for it and smirked at her

Jayce: You can't use that excuse anymore. C'mon, let us celebrate you

Caitlyn rolled her eyes with a smile, but it soon turned into surprise once she analyzed what he said

Caitlyn: Fine...wait, did you say "we"?

He chuckled at her reaction

Jayce: That's exactly what I said

Without further due, Jayce opened the door, allowing it to reveal quite a luxurious sight

Men and women of wealth waited inside the exquisitely decorated room. Talking amongst themselves and enjoying their time there

In the center of the golden room, were Mr. And Ms. Kiramman. The former took notice of her arrival and raised his drink with a huge smile

Mr. Kiramman: There she is! The birthday girl!

This announcement made all the guests turn to look at her. They started cheering and clapping at her

Caitlyn observed the scene with a shocked expression and waved at them out of formality, but soon turned to face Jayce with a glare

Caitlyn: You're the worst

Jayce laughed and grabbed her wrist

Jayce: Come on, you're going to enjoy this

And so, both of them entered the room, finally joining the celebration the girl's parents had prepared for her

People from the highest orbs of society attended this event, and so did a few of Caitlyn's own friends in Piltover. All united under the intent of celebrating her

Or so it was said

As the daughter of a Councilor, Caitlyn's birthday was seen as something important for the city

And it was no surprise that many showed up, even one or two Council members

It was a great honor indeed, but...

But none of it felt real

She didn't even know some of these people. It honestly felt more like one of her parent's business celebrations

And it was getting overwhelming pretty quickly

After speaking to Councilor Medarda for a short time, Caitlyn decided to take a break from this exhausting party
