A pair of uninterested eyes watch out of the window, seeing thousands of trees go by as they drove past. Adrian was leaning against the window, tired eyes with a hint of pain, thin pale hands, chipped green nail polish fidget with a ring. The ring, the same one they drew as kids, hiding under a picnic table at the community park. Beautiful black titanium wrapping around 3 blood red hearts, and a single pink rose. The boy always dreamed of holding the ring, putting it into a silk box, giving it to them. Now that he is, all he can do is hate fate, for gifting him something useless without them.....
Mina.
The perfect girl. Her beautiful sky blue eyes, pale blonde hair, a laugh that could make angels cry, and a smile that could cure diseases. Fate brought the two together, little 4 year old Adrian was running through the woods, chasing a butterfly, tiny Mina was picking flowers. A single branch introduced the two. It was love at first bruise. They knew, they were meant to be together. That fortunate day lead the two into each other's lives, they were inseparable. Dusk to dawn, Saturday to Sunday. Almost every day of the year. It was like they were each other's oxygen. First day of elementary, Adrian's first F, Mina's first fight. First day of middle school, Adrian's emo phase, then goth..... then pretty boy, then alternative, Mina becoming the cheer caption, dying her hair black, then pink tips, and the eyebrow piercing, all 4. First day of high school, freshmen prom, prom king and queen, Adrian joining debate club, reading + writing club, and the art club, Mina going from Cheer to football, sophomore prom, Mina coming out as a She/They, becoming football caption, then coming out again as They/Them Bisexual, Adrian getting promoted to debate caption, starting a book Mina couldn't wait to read, having a art piece being shown in a art gallery, coming out as omnisexual, getting a nose ring. Junior year, skipping prom, going to Florida for Mina, and New York for Adrian. Adrian almost being done with his book.
Mina being killed.
