Identically Diverse

Different races, distinct faces
From the beginning, we are all diverse.
It all started with people in caves
Next there came these various colonizers.

From the tyrant Spanish
To the helpful English
Down to the brutal Japanese
And now we're enjoying our freedom days.

Throughout those suffering years
That shed us a bucket of tears
Let us just reminisce
How we became so diverse.

Filipinos are all one another's kindred
We might be scattered, but we are one thread
That connects to the same origin
Like a gun with many bullets in one magazine.
