"i'm going to get the twins from my parents" i told Nardo as i grabbed my keys
"ight, be safe" he said as he came over and kissed my cheek

"hey mom" i gave her a small smile as i walked in
"hey baby." she said as she looked around me "mm. where that boy at?" she said scrunching up her face
"mom. let's not" i shook my head walking up to the couch where i seen my babies
as i was gathering their things my mom came up to me and sighed before she said sum, "y'all should come have dinner with us.."
i looked at her then stood up straight "i mean if you can be cordial then that's cool." i shrugged
she rolled her eyes as i put the bag on one arm and held Hero in one. she picked up Naveah and followed me to my car and helped me buckle them in.
"tonight ok?" she asked
"yeah imma be there"
we said our goodbyes then i made my way back home.

"why are you not ready? "
i mugged nardo. i told his ass we had dinner wit my parents and we already bout to be late.
"oh- i thought you was playing. you know yo mama don't like me" he said whipping his mouth.
i snatched the food out his hand and put it away "well i'm not playing. can you get ready please?"
he sucked his teeth heading upstairs

me and Nardo walked up to the door as i held Hero in my arms and he held Naveah in his. i knocked on the door and after a minute my dad came to the door.
"hey baby girl" he smiled hugging me
"wassup man" him and nardo dapped up before he stepped aside, letting us in.
"where mom at?" i asked giving him Hero since he was reaching for him
"in the kitchen." he mumbled walking off wit Nardo
i walked in the kitchen to see my mom fixing some mashed potatoes. i smiled wide going over to wash my hands, mashed potatoes my favorite.
as i was washing my hand i seen she had fried chicken, green beans, cornbread, and of course the mashed potatoes... she must've did the just for me cuz she know..
"hey mom" she looked over at me and sighed in relief
"you gon help me?"
i nodded grabbing the potato masher from her hand. we were cooking in silence when she broke it.
"i wanted to apologize to y'all for giving him a hard time at first.." she admitted making me turn to her
"i just thought the dude you had kids with would be... different.."
"whatchu mean?" i asked.
"like i thought he would be mad nice and-"
i cut her off understanding "i get it"
she prolly was tryna get at how she didn't want me wit a 'hood nigga'. but that kinda hypocritical considering how my dad was when they got together-
"yeah but i don't want y'all feeling some type of way coming over here."
i nodded giving her a small smile "thank you mom"
we were finally done with the food and we were making the plates. i went to go get my dad and Nardo but they wasn't in the living room no more.
i figured they was upstairs in my old room which my parents turned into a nursery, thinking they gon have my babies a lot. they be forgetting they my kids and not theirs..
i waited for them to come down as i helped mom set the table.

now we was all at the table and the kids was upstairs sleep. i was sitting next to Nardo and my mom and dad were in front of us
"uh i wanted to apologize Horace, for how i acted in the past. i hope you can forgive me."
"i appreciate that. and you can call me Nardo ma'am."
i smirked knowing she was gon keep calling him by his real name. she just nodded and gave him a small smile.
the dinner went on and we just talked about random stuff and ate.
after we got done eating i was in the kitchen helping my mom tidy up while she was in the bathroom when Nardo came in
"you ready go yet?" he mumbled in my ear
i turned around and he had this look on his face, i could tell he was tired. "yeah just let me say bye" i said then pecked his lips
"ight mom we boutta leave" i said walking in the living room. i hugged my mom then hugged my dad
i was about to go up and get the twins but they insisted on keeping them there, "uh you sure?"
"yeah, they already sleep. ain't point in waking them up right now"

me and Nardo finally made it home and he was all up on me for no reason. we walked upstairs and he was right behind me as i got undressed and dressed into my night gown. he did the same but just stripped to his underwear
"can you back up?" i chuckled walking to the bed with him hot on my tail. i watched as he waited for me to get comfortable on the bed before he got in between my legs and laid on my stomach.
"you ok?"
i looked down at him and i didn't get a answer. i saw he was sleep so i just laid back and played in his hair before falling asleep myself.
