‘why not?’ I asked him
‘well, I listened to her thoughts.’
‘and?’
‘she said that she would just go to bed tonight because she was really tired’ he said
‘but I listened to her thoughts earlier, and she said that she would go when we were all asleep’
‘why didn’t you tell us?’ Jacob asked me
‘it slipped my mind’
‘or you just wanted to be the one that kept her from escaping.’ Samuel said accusingly
‘no! it really slipped my mind, because Marcus came not much later and there was everything going on, and I just forgot!’
‘oh so now it’s my fault?’ Marcus asked me
‘no, I’m not saying that, I’m just saying that I forgot to tell you guys, and by the way she was here, then you don’t tell what you heard now do you’ I said and they fell silent.
‘okay, I found a solution’ Jackson said suddenly, we all turned to him
‘we’ll just have to take turns’
‘turns in what?’ Jason asked
‘with staying up’
‘what do you mean?’ Jason asked him and Jackson sighed
‘one of us stays awake per day to see on it that she doesn’t run away again’
‘I am not going to stay up to keep her from running away, I’ve already stopped her a few times’ Marcus said
‘we don’t have to stay up’ Jacob said
‘we can just sleep in her room’
‘but she’ll never allow that’ I said
‘no you’re right’ he said and he started thinking of something else
‘but we have to’ Marcus said out of nowhere
‘why?’ Deamon asked him
‘well, every time we leave her alone…’ his voice died and he got a worried face
‘oh shit, I forgot again. We have to find her’
‘why?’
‘I’ll explain later’ he said and he started running inside the school, we all followed him
‘go towards our dorm!’ Marcus shouted to us, he was already at the staircase.
‘EVANGELINE!’ he shouted worried
‘we have to find out what is happening’ I said before running towards the staircase
‘NO!’ Marcus shouted from two floors above me and I darted to where he was and I was just in time to see Marcus running towards Evangeline on the floor. I ran over to them and Marcus held his head on her chest
‘what’s going on!?’ I asked him with wide eyes
‘why is she on the floor?’ I asked and he just held his hand up telling me to wait. He raised his head and sighed in relief, he stood up and got Evangeline with him
‘get her bag’ he said to me, but I just stood there dumbfounded
‘what the hell just happened?’
‘I’ll tell you later, just get the bag’ he said, he was getting angry.
‘I’ll be in Evangeline her room’ he said to me
