Devoid Of Emotions [Poetry]

Mad At Myself

Don't be an idiot,
Just block your feelings,
Like they have no meaning,
So you won't get hurt.

Liking someone only brings pain,
When they don't even know your name,
Don't be ashamed,
It's all apart of the game,
They never seem to shake,
So they can break all your hope in your awake of tomorrow.

But when you block out your feelings,
Like they have no meaning,
It never works,
Because the jerks are hard to resist,
And in your mist of never caring,
All they do is break your shield,
To where you care then regret it afterwards,
Then you become mad,
Mad at your feelings,
Mad at the jerks,
Mad at yourself for not knowing better.
