"Hey", said Lamaria.

"Hey", replied Chris.

"I didn't know you invited Chris", said Lamaria as she looked at Ryan.

"Yea...thought maybe we go ahead and get out of awkward phase and for me to stop thinking about what happened...maybe things could go back to normal faster...I don't know", said Ryan.

Lamaria shrugs her shoulders. "I mean like I guess. But I also think this is uncalled for", said Lamaria.

"I think it's called for", said Ryan. "What you think, Chris?"

Chris shrugs his shoulders.

"I don't know. I mean like I'm just trying to build my relationship back up with you, not her. No offense", said Chris.

"None taken", said Lamaria.

Ryan looked at the both of them.

Lamaria continued eating her food.

Chris sat back and started messing with Kaloni.

It seemed like nothing bother either one of them.

Ryan invited them both to breakfast so that he could see how they act around each other. He wanted to know if they had feelings for each other.

"How about you take Kaloni home and I just catch a ride with Chris", said Ryan.

"Okay", said Lamaria.

Ryan kissed her and Lamaria kissed him back.

Chris clenched his jaw a little bit.

Lamaria pulled away and smiled.

"I love you", said Ryan.

"I love you too", said Lamaria.

Chris stood up from the booth so Kaloni could get out of the seat.

Lamaria stood up and grabbed Kaloni's hand.

"Bye", said Lamaria.

"Bye", said Chris.

Lamaria and Kaloni left.

Ryan looked at Chris.

"I know you're happy to be back...sorry again", said Chris.

"I would say it's iight but it's not...but I am going to forgive you", said Ryan. "Maybe it's my karma for talking to her behind your back after you said you wanted her, but you was cool about it so I ain't pay it no mind"

"Ain't like I was talking to her. First come, first served right?", asked Chris.

"...Nah it was kinda messed up", said Ryan.

"Well if it was so messed up...why you do it?", asked Chris.

"...selfish", said Ryan. "I ain't think about how you'd feel..well really I thought it'll be no big deal", said Ryan. "We were young. I wasn't thinking about shit like that"

"Why you thinking about it now? That's in the past", said Chris.

"Because after what happened...I kept thinking to myself if you liked her this whole time and I fucked you over", said Ryan.

Chris didn't say anything.

"...you did, didn't you? You still do, don't you?", asked Ryan.

"...the more I lie...the only one I'm hurting is me right?", asked Chris.

"Right", said Ryan.

"I'm done with you bruh", said Chris as he stood up. "You been there for me when I needed you the most but you also stabbed me in the back one too many times when I don't do anything but be loyal to yo ass. The one time I did something when your ass was supposedly dead, and let's be honest I still felt bad as I was doing...you wanna get mad at me for that? I should've stopped fucking with your ass a long time ago."

"Wow...so you really had a little crush on my wife all this time?", he asked.

"Nigga did you know hear what I just said? You ain't used to be selfish, nigga you still are. Towards me, towards Lamaria, t-"

"Don't even say her name", said Ryan.

"Shut up dumb ass up. I could hurt your feelings right now but I ain't", said Chris.

"Can't hurt my feelings...at the end of the day I still got something you want, snake", said Ryan.

Chris shook his head and walked out of the restaurant.

Ryan sat there for a few moments then got an Uber to take him home.
