"I guess I won't arrest you either," said Alicia, with a smile on her face.
They made a truce and finally both could breathe a sigh of relief. It felt so good to finally be at peace. At least in this way.
After a long time Alicia felt safe.
Her emotions were overwhelming her. So much has happened in the last few days. The most meaningful thing was her turning into a mother.
Her little angel fell asleep in her arms, and next to her sat her prey, which she could never look at in the same way again. She thought about everything that had happened with him. From her first call with the Professor, having the strong desire to put him behind bars and outsmart him, pointing the gun to each other countless times - to him turning into a man who cared for her and her child as if it were his.
She looked at him. His gaze was focused on TV, his handsome face relaxed, but his body tense. Alicia had a need to lean on him, forget everything and just enjoy the moment. Without hesitation, she rested her head on his shoulder, a tear dripping down her nose.
Professor felt her lean into him. Her fresh scent filled his nostrils. He put his hand on her bare shoulder and started to relax.
"Sergio?" She whispered his name, her piercing eyes searching his.
"Mhm?" was the only thing he managed to mutter. He tried to ignore the attraction he had felt for her since they were squeezed in the couch, holding hands. When she came out of the shower, he looked at her and he immediately suppressed the thoughts that were flying through his head. Stop it, Sergio.
"We need to buy you some new shoes," she chuckled. "I really am sorry for shooting you, but I had to prove my point" she smiled at him.
"You did prove your point, I started to be afraid of you"
"Are you afraid of me now?" Alicia joked.
Sergio smiled, realizing how quickly the things have changed.
"Of course not," he said, tightening his grip on her bare shoulder.
He looked into her eyes. They looked tired, but full of life at the same time.
Instinctively, his hand wiped the remaining tear from under her eye. Alicia's eyes immediately locked with his. She tried to read his mind. How did we find ourselves here, Sergio? She tought to herself, trying to ignore the chemistry that was increasingly becoming more obvious. Sergio was having the same thoughts.
For a second, his gaze dropped to her lips. He didn't dare to make the first move.
Alicia didn't hesitate one bit. Slowly she pressed her lips upon his. What am I doing?
Her last thought died when he gripped the back of her head tightly and deepend the kiss. With one hand she was holding Victoria, with other she was caressing his face. Sergio felt his skin burning wherever her hand touched him. God, it shouldn't feel this good, he thought. She lightly bit his upper lip. The kiss became more passionate, both of them not willing to stop. They were savoring every second of it. When the need for air became necessary, her eyes slid open slightly as she broke the kiss.
"Alicia, I —"
"Don't", she whispered, placing her finger on his lips. "We will figure it out".
