Panchala King Drupada performed a sacrifice to obtain a son who could kill Dronacharya and take revenge of his insult. From that sacrificial altar, Dhrishtadyumna was born, followed by Draupadi, who was named Krishnaa for her dark complexion.
King Drupada arranged her swayamvara. The five Pandavas heard about it from some Brahmins in Ekachakra and reached Kampilya to attend the same. After all the suitors failed to string the bow, a disguised Arjuna successfully hit the target.
