It was the first Friday of December, and all the Guppies had just woken from their naps and were waiting to be picked up by their parents with their jackets and gloves on. But unbeknownst to them, Mr.Grouper has planned something special with their parents! That night they were all going on a Polar Express ride to Big Bubble City and staying in a hotel. It was hard for Mr.Grouper to keep the surprise a secret, but he was eager to see just how happy his Guppies would be when he saw them later that night.
"Mr.Grouper, will our parents be here soon?" asked Molly
"Yes, they should be." said Mr.Grouper
"It sure looks cold out there!" said Gil, looking out the front door window.
"It sure is cold Gil. It's 50 degrees!" said Mr.Grouper
"It's a good thing we're warm in here!" said Goby
"Yeah. Looks like I'd turn into a popsicle out there!" said Deema
"The snow sure does look pretty though!" said Oona looking out
"That it does Oona!" said Mr. Grouper
Nonny was the most bundled up out of all of them, wearing a puffy green jacket and an orange scarf wrapped around his neck, leaving his mouth covered.
"You know Nonny, you sure do have a lot of stuff on." said Zooli " Aren't you hot?
"No, I'm fine." Nonny said, his voice a bit muffled.
"Oh look. It looks like your parents are here." said Mr.Grouper
The parents all came up to the door and picked up their children. The Guppies all said goodbye, then left. Mr.Grouper smiled as he watched them go, knowing the fun that was in store for them.
Matt was driving Molly home.
"Hey Molly, when we get home I need you to get some pajamas on, ok?" said Matt
"Huh? Why's that daddy? It's so early." said Molly
"Oh you'll see." said Matt smiling
They soon arrived home and went inside. Molly was surprised to see Mary and Mia in their pajamas.
"Mommy? Why are you and Mia in pajamas?" asked Molly
"Go on ahead and get yours on and we'll tell you." said Matt "There's a pair already laid out in your bed."
"Ok daddy." said Molly
Molly went to her room and soon came back in a pair of light blue button up pajamas. Matt had also put his pajamas on. Molly's parents had the same type and color of pajamas that she had, and Mia was wearing them in onesie form.
"So why are we wearing pajamas mommy?" asked Molly
Mary smiled at Matt, who did the same.
"Well, we're going to be riding The Polar Express to Big Bubble City!" said Mary
"And when we get there, we're going to stay in a hotel!" said Matt
"Wow! Really?!" asked Molly excitedly
"Yep! And that's not all! Your friends and Mr.Grouper are coming too!" said Matt
"Yay! This is amazing! I'm so excited! When are we leaving daddy?" asked Molly
"We're leaving at seven." said Matt
"Well, that is a few hours away, but I think I can wait!" said Molly
Molly sat and watched TV til seven, then they all got in the car and went to Bubbletucky Train Station, where the others were also just arriving. The Guppies and their parents were wearing the same pajamas as each other. There were also many other people there, all families of lobsters, crabs, and snails.
