The gif is Luke Hemmings who is cast as Silas.

We both kind of sat there shocked. Silas's arm felt heavy around my shoulder. No one talked for awhile. My parent's sucked. They showed up maybe once a month if they wanted to. Silas and I were both made to be science experiments not people. For years after we were born they did tests on us. They bought us stuff to shut us up. They treated us like gum that had stuck to their shoes. But they were dead, so that was something. It took us four seconds to get over the fact that our parent's were dead. That should say something about them.

"Ok." Silas says breaking the silence. The cops watched our every move.

"You don't seem sad." The first cop says. I suppose calling them cop one, two, and three is a little confusing. Cop one was now Blondie, two was brunette, and three was red head. Silas shakes, I know he is three seconds from blowing up.

"Our parents were not parents they were scientists. We were not their kids we were their experiments. Our parents didnt care about us at all. They cared about getting results." I snap.

"What about everything they bought you?" Red head asks.

"To shut us up." I say. It all started to come back. The tests, the money, more testing, more money.

"Shut you up about what?" Blondie asks.

"Stuff they did. They were scientists, but not everything they did was legal. Or humane." I tell him.

"Do you think that they made an enemy by doing some of those things?" Brunette asks.

"If people knew about it, they would have millions of enemy's. But very few people knew. I suppose someone could still find out somehow." I answer.

"Can you think of all the people who knew?" Blondie asks.

"The people who worked there."

"Do you know who worked their?" He asks me.

"No. I have only met one of them personally and I didn't know his name. The last time I saw him was when I was about five." I tell them.

"Can you think of any other people who would have a reason to do this?" Brunette asks.

"No. Okay! Just leave. We need some privacy right now." Silas snaps.

"We totally understand. Call us if you think of anything." Red head says. They all stand up and Silas stands up and ushers the them out. Then he shuts the door and leaned against it slowly sliding down. He curls up and puts his head on his knee's, his hands pulling his hair. I sigh, stand up and walk over to him. I sit down and grab his hand to put it in mine. I snuggle against his crumpled figure. We sit like that for awhile.

"We are going to do fine." I say kissing his cheek. Then I jump up and grab both of his hands. I pull him up and hug him. He puts his head face down on my shoulder wrapping his arms around my waist.

"We have to call him." I tell Silas. He lifts his head up and he backs up, his face fills with a mixture of anger and worry.

"No! Never we are never calling Braden. Not after what he did to you." Silas yells.

"Silas we need him. We can't live by ourselves until we turn eighteen." I say quietly.

"We don't need crap from him." Silas snaps. "We can get emancipated or find someone else. Anyone but him."

"It will take forever to get emancipated, and we have no one else." I tell him.

"I DON"T CARE!" He screams. "WE CAN RUN AWAY, IF THAT'S OUR ONLY OPTION. "

"Silas we can't just leave. It will make it look like we killed them."

"Who cares? I am never, ever letting him near you again." He tells me.

"Sila-"

"Why are you acting like you want him to come? You should be more mad at him than I am." Silas asks.

"Silas he is our half brother." I say quietly.

"I don't give a shit. He tried to rape you, Em." Silas says angrily.

"We don't know that."

"EM HE CAME INTO YOUR ROOM LATE AT NIGHT, DRUNK, AND HE...he..." Silas says looking down at his hands. They are shaking.

"Silas after what you did to him he won't try anything else, if that's even what he was doing." I say trying to calm Silas down. Silas laughs. It sounds scary.

"A few broken ribs and a concussion were far from enough damage."

"Silas I know but we need him here?" I tell him.

"Em, do you even care that he did what he did to you?" He asks me. I look down and sigh.

"Of course I do Silas. He did stuff no one should ever do to someone else, especially their sister, but you were there seconds after I got a chance to scream. You stopped him from doing anything else. You spent every night in my room for two months, watching me to make sure I was okay. You passed out practically every class." I say. "I can't be separated from you. Even if that means I have to see him." I feel a tear fall down my cheek. Silas is there in seconds and pulls me into his arms.

"Em, I won't let anyone separate us. I will do anything to keep us together." Silas mumbles. He kisses my forehead and let's me cry.

A/N: Yay. I really like this chapter. It's really cute but sad. Who's ready to meet Braden? Not me.

So I was thinking about entering this in the 2015 Watty Awards but they don't start for awhile so I want to finish this by then.

I need help though because in order to have a chance at the Watty awards I need a lot of reads on this. Every read, vote, and comment bring this book further up on the list of teen fiction. SO I need everyone to pretty, pretty, pretty please vote for all the chapters so far and add this book to their reading lists so more people can see it and hopefully read it. I want to be a writer in the future and this could be extremely huge for my future. And no winning the award isn't going to assure my future in writing but it could lead to more people reading it and then to it possibly getting published.

Love you all.
