They had seen everything that happened between the two. But they had decided not to interfere in it.

Fareed turned to Demilade. "What happened?"

"I... I don't know. She is gone. I've lost her."

"No, you didn't. We will find a solution to this. But you need to tell us what really happened so we can find an answer to this."

"Solution? Is that what we should be talking about? Demilade fucked up." Adam said to Fareed.

"You don't even know what happened. So stop judging." Fareed barked at Adam, exasperatedly.

"Well, I wasn't deaf. You heard what she said. He hurt the innocent girl. Didn't you see how she was?"

"But you heard him saying it wasn't as she thought. Can't you give him the benefit of the doubt?"

"I'm not the one who should. It should be Lola. She returned his ring. All for what? That stupid woman called Tina. I knew she have something up her sleeve and that is why she didn't sign the contract for almost three months. I told you guys, it was a wrong decision trying to sign a contract with that family."

"Really? Or is it because you were once dumped by her close friend?"

"That is not true."

Demilade had blacked out from what his friends were saying. It's like everything has gone blank in his head and his world was turning upside down. Different thoughts were running through his head. The thought of losing Lola wasn't making it easy at all. It makes him feel useless, stupid, and even disappointed in himself.

How couldn't he have been careful?

He feels like a fool for what happened. And he hated the feeling. At the same time, he felt empty. He didn't even know when he sat on the floor of the parking lot.

Adam and Fareed stopped their argument when they heard the mumbled cry of Demilade. They turned in his direction and they were baffled when they saw their friend sitting on the floor of the parking lot, crying with his fiancee's engagement ring fisted in his left hand. He was shocked that he could sit on the floor. Demilade was definitely not himself. He would never do such a thing if he was in his right mind.

Fareed exhaled angrily then he said to Adam.

"Call Dayo and tell him that the security should stop the elevator coming down to the parking lot. We don't want to create any more scenes here." He said the last part to himself.

Adam nodded looking at his friend and he went to take his phone into the car while Fareed stooped in front of Demilade and placed his hand on either side of his.

"It's going to be fine. We will find a way. It's going to be okay Demilade." He said soothingly. He watched as he shook his head. "We won't lose her. We will find a way. Get yourself together. It's going to be fine." He patted his arms lightly looking around the lot and then back at him. "Everything is going to be fine."

Augustina Thompson sat on her office seat, swiveling it round and round with a black pen in between her index finger and thumb.

Her mind was filled with the thought of one person and the event that took place the other day.

It was still hard for her to believe what happened the previous day. She knew sooner or later her father will find out about what happened. But she must make sure he doesn't find out until she finds a solution. She had ruined his lifelong plan with her stupid lust. She has to come up with an excuse in case he did find out because she will be done for. No one was going to cover for her. Her mother who always defended her against her father was sick and far away at home.
