"... Lola, Lola. Please listen to me. It's not what you think." Demilade said following after Lola who had stormed out of the office. She took the elevator and before he could get to her, the elevator had closed. He heaved a frustrated sigh as he loosen his tie. He ran over to the emergency elevator and took it to the underground parking lot because he knew that was where she would park her car.

He got there just in time to see Lola walking over to the side of her car with shaky feet. He ran to meet her. He held her from opening the car that just chimed signaling it has been unlocked.

"Lola. Please listen to me." He begged, standing in front of her. She looked away from him but not before he noticed she was already crying.

"Please Lola, it's not what you think. I wasn't doing anything..."

She scoffed. "Is that what you are going to say? Nothing?" Lola asked as she turned to face him. She was already in tears and Demilade felt hurt seeing her in tears.

"It was nothing. She was just trying to seduce me. It wasn't what you think. It's nothing. We were... It's nothing. Please believe me."

"Believe you?" She asked as she weep. "I came back here because I choose to believe you. I always had my suspicion. You made me think I was just being paranoid. So you've been fooling me."

"I'm not fooling you, Lola. I swear to God. Lola, I have nothing to do with Tina. I swear on my life. It was nothing. Please believe me. You were right. She wanted me. And I rejected her offer. That's why she said those things to get back at me. She is lying. "

"I don't have... anything to say about what she said." She paused and sniffed. "And if she is lying... Tell me what were you doing..." She brushed away her tears angrily. "What were you doing close to her? You were both..." She couldn't find the words as she burst into tears.

It was hard to believe he would do that to her.

"No Lola, it's not how you think. I was..." He stopped himself from saying what he want to say. She won't believe he was just talking to her, so close to her. It would make her doubt him even more. "I wasn't doing anything, Lola. I swear to God. But I don't have anything with her. Nothing at all. I regret not listening to you. I should have listened to you two weeks ago. And I am sorry. But there is nothing." She covered her face with her hands, crying on them. "Please Lola, believe me. I am telling you the truth. Please."

He hated seeing her crying.

He moved closer and tried touching her but she jerk her hands away.

"Lola... believe me. I won't do anything to hurt you. You know I won't. Please. It's not what you're thinking. I will never do that to you."

She said nothing and she attempted to open the car door. She was consumed by a lot of emotion that she doesn't know what to say to him. And her only choice was to just leave.

Quickly, Demilade held her hand to stop her from opening the door.

"Please Lola, let's talk this out. Please. I am sorry. Nothing was going on. What you saw wasn't what you are thinking. I swear."

"Nothing? What do you take me for?" She cried. "A fool. I saw you. I saw both of you with my two eyes Demilade. I saw the position you both were in. You were... kissing her on..." She paused as she cried harder. The fact that he was doing the same thing he does to her, felt like a slap to her face.

"No, it's not as you think. I wasn't doing anything than just talking to her."

"In that position?" She scoffed, shaking her head. She felt like he was making her look like a fool with his dumb excuse.
