"Oh! That's really funny Demilade, don't you think?" She asked but he gave her no reply. Then the smile disappeared from her face and she peered at him. "I guess you've forgotten who got the power here Demilade. I do. You need me. You need my contract. Stop playing all tough. All those..." She gestured to the blueprint on the table at the center of the office. ".. is useless if I decide not to sign the deal. And you have no right to threaten or hurry me."
Demilade said nothing. He knew she was right. But he was beginning not to care. He had handled people much crazy than her like Alexander's daughters. He had handled her craziness and silliness for more than two months and just a few more minutes or days won't hurt.
Moreover, he won't really have much to do with her when she signs the deal. By then, her sister would be back and she would handle most of the business after that.
So, he held back his tongue and nodded.
"Fine. You're right." He admitted.
"I'm glad you understand that." She stated authoritatively.
"What do you really want Tina?"
"That's the question you should be asking." Her smile appeared again on her face. "Another reason why I like you. You think very fast." She took a step closer. "About the contract.... which I was talking about before the call came in, that we could both get what we want quickly. And that's right. I will stop playing around and you will have the deal..."
"But?" He cut in.
She smiled. "I was right when I said you always think so fast." She smirked touching his chest with her long nails. He took her hand off his chest gently and she chuckled. "But the condition is you."
"The condition is me? And what's that supposed to mean?"
"Stop playing dumb Demilade. I hate dumb people." She snapped at him.
His 'I don't care' and exasperating attitude was already getting to her. She was beginning to hate this side of him. She wanted to see that side that held her in high esteem, that respect her. The calmer side of him.
But he gave her no response, not even blinking an eye.
"Fine. If you really want me to read it out to you. I want you Demilade. I want you on my bed. I am going to give you the deal only when you have sex with me." She said confidently staring him in the eyes.
Demilade stared at her, disappointedly. He have his doubts but for a while, he had believed she was better. He had wanted to believe the media were just telling lies. But he thinks this time, there were not. She had been a wolf in sheep's clothing all this while.
"I have always wanted you since the first time I laid my eyes on you." She said with so much poise.
"I'm sorry but we don't have a mutual understanding in that aspect," Demilade answered her.
She scoffed loudly to his face. "Why? Because you have some low-life girl as a fiancée?"
"That lowlife is my fiancée and I love her."
"You will keep lying to yourself that you love her when all you're doing is helping her and her pathetic family." She stated exasperatedly while Demilade glared at her. "What is special about her? What have you achieved from being with her? I guess nothing. But with me, you know all that you can have. Just a night with me, and you have one of the greatest deals you've ever made."
"My answer is the same, Tina. I have a fiancée and I love her."
"Blah blah blah." She scoffed. Then she looked back at him. "Fine. You can be with your fiancée all you want, who cares? Just have one night with me. That's more than enough to sacrifice for this contract, don't you think? It is I being generous."
