He turned back to her and he walked back to her front slowly.

"You know... I have always thought something was wrong with you. So this is it. Jealousy. That isn't even the problem. The problem is you think so low of me. So you think that I am going to sleep with another woman because I want a contract? Do you know how many damn contracts I could have if I decided to be a fuckboy?" He paused. "I am so disappointed in you, Tiwalola."

"Then prove you are not lying."

"Why should I prove anything? You already have your suspicion. Go ahead with it."

"Then it is true."

"FOR GOD'S SAKE LOLA. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?" Demilade wailed. "What's your problem?"

He saw the look of shock on her face and the tears that followed. He tried to control his anger. No matter how angry he was, he shouldn't have yelled at her like that.

"I'm sorry. I am sorry." He apologized. She didn't say anything. She was just staring at him, weeping. Demilade sighed frustrated. "Even if you hurt my feelings by suspecting me of cheating on you, I will let it go. I am going to pretend it didn't happen or I heard you." She was still quiet. "What else do you want me to do? I should be the one mad because you are accusing me of something that I didn't do or will ever do." She just kept crying. Demilade heaved a frustrated sigh. "I'm sorry for yelling at you. Fine, what do you want me to do to prove to you that I am not lying to you?" He said to appease her.

"End it." She replied slowly with her weeping face.

"End what?"

"Whatever is between you two."

"There is nothing to end between us because there is nothing between me and Tina. It's just a working relationship. Nothing else. Don't you believe me?" He asked pained by her accusations.

"I believe you. But end whatever work relationship you have with her. I don't like her. You seem obsessed with her work and I hate it. So end it."

"You know that I can't do that?"

"Why? Because she is more important..."

He cut her off. "That's not true Lola."

"I see. She means more right? She is damn rich. Her contract can move your name up the Forbes list and that is what you care about."

"That's not true Lola. You know that is not the reason. I have to spend a lot of money on this project. Billions Lola. How do you want me to regain all my losses if I end the deal? That's not how business work."

"But I know there are risks in business."

"Forty billion as risk?! Common Lola. That is not kid money. How do you want me to get it back? I started this because I know I can win the contract. And I am certain she will sign the deal. No contract will redeem that money any time soon if I decided to back out now. Just a little more and I will be done with all this. Soon she is going to sign the contract. I am so sure of that. Please, Lola. I don't know why you have to be angry about it. I don't have any other relationship with her and I am telling you the truth. "

Lola nodded. Then she walked away from his presence. He followed behind her.

"Lola. Lola." He called after her but she gave no reply. She picked up her handbag and car key on the center table in the living room. Then she turned to Demilade who was staring at her, perplexed.

"Have fun with your contract." She said to him and she left the house without taking another backward glance.

Demilade rubbed his hand on his face, frustrated, confused, and angry. He sat on one of the armchairs and cover his face with no knowledge of what to do.
