"Thank you." He kissed her head, saying nothing in reply. "I love you." She muttered the last part.

"I love you more." He answered. "Good night Love." He sat quietly with his own thoughts for a while.

He heard Lola breathing and he peered down at her face. She was already asleep. He smiled amused. He knew that she was exhausted and it was her motive for not going further with the kiss. He moved her upper body slightly so he could have a chance to stand up. Then he carried her to the bed and he used the duvet to cover her body.

He moved to the other side of the bed and sat down on it, looking at his sleeping girlfriend. She was obviously exhausted but at the same time relaxed. She turned around and her ring glistened under the light.

He can't be happier seeing the ring on her. He can't wait to add the second one. He grinned, leaned down, and place a gentle kiss on her forehead. Afterward, he switched off the light in the room with just the lamp giving dim light to the room. He laid on his back and closed his eyes to sleep.

The day had been a very long one.

Demilade and Lola left Abuja for Lagos early the next day since Demilade have a meeting that morning at his office. He was dropped at the company and his driver took Lola home.

She opened the gate with her own keys and she entered the house, carrying her bags. She was surprised that the front door was opened and that meant someone was home.

It was probably her brother.

She entered the living room after knocking. Her father was eating an apple fruit at the same time watching the afternoon News.

"Hi, Dad, E ku le." She greeted as she struggled with her bags.

"Ka bo. How was your trip?"

"It was awesome." She replied, dropping the bags she was carrying on the floor.

"You're becoming quite lazy carrying things because you drive around now." He said watching her struggle to carry her bags.

She chuckled and pouted. "You can't really blame me." She said. The man rolled his eyes and looked away from her direction as she carried her bags to her room.

She came back to the living room, breathing heavily.

"You see what I am talking about."

"The bags are heavy Dad. I also got some things for the twins and Daniel. That coupled with the reason why the bags are heavy." She defended herself.

"Whatever. How was your day with your friends?"

"It was super amazing. I have to leave them in Abuja. Demilade has a meeting this morning and it saves time to take his jet than the local plane."

"So they didn't return with you?"

"No. They still want to have fun at the wonderland. Their ticket will expire today so you can't blame them. That place is really amazing and beautiful Dad. I see the reason why people hype that place. It's so beautiful and busy. I'm taking all of us there for the twins' birthday. "

"Demilade is one of a kind. I don't expect less from him. He is a gifted man." Her father commented.

She nodded in agreement. "Yes, Daddy. You're right. You can't believe he came back from the state last night and decided to take me out despite the hectic day."

"It's your birthday. He would do anything to make you happy on that day." The elderly man smiled at himself. He was once like Demilade. Trying to make the woman he loves happy.
