She knew Demilade was angry too, that is why he had refused to call her after that night and she understands.

Lola rubbed her hand on her face with a groan. She felt stupid and dumb. She was hurting herself and about to ruin her relationship because of something trivial. Something that does not worth it. Demilade won't lie to her. But her paranoia and insecurity won't make her believe him and it was about to ruin everything.

She picked up her phone again and dialed Demilade's office line. She knew his personal line will be out of service at that time.

The phone rang and then she heard the beeping sound followed by Uche's voice.

"Hello, this is..."

Lola quickly cut her short usual introduction off. "It is me Uche. Lola."

"Hello, Lola. Good morning. How are you?"

"I'm fine and you?"

"Fine too. Do you want to speak to Mr. Demilade?"

"Yes. Is he in office?"

"Yes. But he is in a meeting and he can't talk right now." Lola fought the urge to ask who he was having a meeting with. She remained quiet as she listened to Uche. "..... Are you still there?"

"Yes. Yes, I am. Okay then. I will call back."

"Alright. I will leave a message down that you called." She said.

"Thanks." Lola appreciated it and ended the call.

Lola was cutting an Ankara fabric on her cutting table in an empty room that she had used as a Sewing room. She doesn't feel like going to her shop and to keep herself busy and her mind off Demilade and their fight, she began cutting some fabrics she has at home for the twins.

Her phone shrieked at her back. She dropped the scissor and went over to pick up the phone. It happened to be Demilade calling.

A small smile spread on her face. It was barely three hours since she called his office. He must have finished with his meeting and Uche had relayed the message that she had called.

She slid the call icon and answered the call.

"Hi." She said.

"Hi," Demilade said over the phone. He sounded bored and exhausted. "How are you?"

"I'm fine. And you?"

"Okay." He replied.

"I...I..." She stuttered. "I want to apologize for what I said to you two weeks ago. I shouldn't have said those words. I said them out of anger. And I am sorry. I am sorry for what I said and for walking out on you like that."

"Okay."

"Can I come over so we can talk? I know this isn't a conversation we should be having on the phone."

"Yes. But I am quite busy today. Make it tomorrow. I think I have some free time tomorrow by lunchtime."

"Okay. I will call you when I am coming over."

"Alright."

"Demilade."

"Hmm."

"I'm really sorry."

"I'm sorry too. I'm glad you called. It's nice hearing your voice." Lola smiled at herself.

"Same here."

"Good then..... Excuse me. Please hold on." He said and she heard him saying something to someone then, she heard his PA, Dayo's voice in the background. "Sorry, I have to answer that. We will see tomorrow. I have a meeting now and I have to go." He said.

"Okay. Till tomorrow." She said.

"Yes." And the call ended. She sat on the floor among the pieces of fabric on the tiled floor.

She was quite relieved that he called back but his tone wasn't so good. Although, she expected it but it was still something of concern. She missed that sweet, caring, and amused voice of his.

She guessed she have to wait for them to see her the next day. She has to put her pride aside and try to understand him, be more understanding and reasonable. They will have to talk things out so they could settle whatever is between them. And she hoped that everything will return to normal after it because she miss everything.
