She exclaimed. "Wow, grilled chicken and chips!"
Demilade smiled at her. "You told me how much you want to eat that. So you have it." She smiled with eyes filled with gratitude. "It reminds me of our first date. The fake one at the Chicken Republic."
She looked up at him and laughed, nodding. "Yeah, we ate that full chicken alone. I had thought I won't finish it." She laughed. "It's actually funny." Demilade nodded, taking a few of his veggies.
"Aren't you going to eat? You're just staring at me." He said, opening a bottle of water. Lola has been watching him eat without touching her food.
She grinned. "I will just pack it so I can eat it properly at home. I missed watching you eat, you know?" He glanced up at her. He chuckled and continued eating. "And you're looking so good today."
"Am I not always looking good?"
She rolled her eyes. "Proud ass. But anyway, you always do but today seems different." She tilted her head, with a smirk. "You're looking drop-dead handsome and hot right now." She bit the corner of her lips while Demilade smirked as he continued eating his food. "You know what you're wearing now actually brought back the memory of the first time I came to your mansion." Demilade arched a brow and he looked down at his cloth.
He was left in his black shirt that was rolled up at the sleeve. He had taken off his cufflink, tie, and other parts of the suit.
"Really? I don't remember that day clearly."
"How would you?" Lola scoffed and rolled her eyes playfully. "You were wearing an all-black six pieces suit and you were f!cking hot in it. Honestly, the thought of you being my boyfriend first cross my mind when I saw you walking down that stairs in that dress." She chuckled, reminiscing the day's event.
"Really?" Demilade asked, surprised.
She laughed at his expression. "Yeah, really. It crossed my mind. But I quickly wave it off. It was stupid. I don't even know you then. But I admit you were good-looking."
"Thank you. And you're always beautiful and elegant Love."
She bows slightly. "I'm honored." They both chuckled.
"How was your birthday party with your friends?"
"It was great. Ibukun confessed you helped them in planning the party when you realized you won't be around for my birthday."
"Your friend must suck at keeping secrets," Demilade said jokingly and he drank from his glass of water.
"Yeah, that's how strong our bond is. But I would have guessed anyway. How could my friends afford a flight to Abuja and got a reservation at the wonderland? And also the special treatment. I saw how the staff were been so nice and polite to me. I mean extra nice and polite that could only be given to anyone related to you."
"That's true. I didn't think of that." He chuckled as his secret was exposed. "I actually did it with their help."
"I know you did most of it to make me happy, so that's cool with me. In fact, I am grateful. Thank you for making my friends happy too. You can't imagine how much what you did means to them. Karri had been talking about the wonderland since the day you launched it and that ticket... was everything to her. All of them. I enjoyed my time too." He just nodded. "And also, that place is gosh wow. It's more beautiful than it is on TV. It's unique, cool, and just too amazing. I'm definitely taking the twins there during their mid-term break. They would love it."
"Uhmm. I have been waiting for the day you will say that." Demilade said.
"What? Why?" She asked, baffled.
