"What about your friends?"
She shrugged. "They are still here at the party. My friends are all having the fun of their lives. I don't really seem to be in the mood. I need to go and rest and take my medication."
"Yeah, that's right." Demilade agreed.
A couple of weeks ago, Lola came down with a fever and she had to be hospitalized for a week. So she was still recovering.
"Do you mind going out with me?" Demilade asked hopefully.
"It's almost five pm here. Can you still make it back on time?" Lola asked.
"Yes. I thought about it. I want to be able to see you today. I've got just one place to be and I'm free to come back. You're going to wait right?"
"Why can't I? It's the more reason I should go back to the hotel and get prepared for your return. I'll be waiting for you."
"Alright." He beamed. "I'll call you immediately after I arrived in Nigeria."
"I'll be here waiting for it. Bye. Love you." And she ended the call.
Demilade smiled and then turned to Dayo that was sitting beside him, busy on his tablet.
"Have you sent the minutes to Uche?" He asked.
"Yes sir. And the other thing that you asked me to prepare, they are already." Dayo told him.
Demilade patted him gently on the shoulder saying. "Thank you. I can always count on you." Dayo smirked and nodded. He went back to what he was doing when his boss leaned his head on the headrest and closed his eyes.

A call from Demilade had woke Lola from her late nap. She hurriedly left her bed after her call with Demilade. He was already back and she wasn't prepared. She looked at the time on her phone and it was almost 9 pm.
It left her perplexed. She had slept for almost four hours. Her medicine must be at work. But there was also the fact that Demilade still planned on going on a date with her.
A night date!
It was pretty amazing.
She had never had an evening date with Demilade. He never suggested it until that day and neither did it cross her mind in the past too.
She headed to the bathroom and washed her face with soap and water since she had already taken a shower when she got back to the hotel. She did a quick light makeup on her face to brighten up her sleepy face and she went to her bag to take one of the clothes she folded along with her. She was grateful she took extra clothes. She never planned on going out with Demilade since he was traveling that day. But things turned out that way.
She quickly dressed into the short red gown she picked and then she brought out three shoes. She checked the time on her phone again and she noted that she have seven minutes before the car that was told would pick her up arrive.
She turned back to the shoes she had picked out and was laying on the bed. She removed the stiletto from the option because it was too high. She wasn't in the mood for wearing something so high. She was left with a cover shoe and other heels. Luckily, the heels weren't too high. It was moderate and exactly what she needed.
Finally, she picked the latter.
She gave herself a final check-up on the mirror in the bathroom. She added more lip gloss to her lips, patted them together and when she was satisfied with it, she smiled at her. She quickly left the bathroom and picked up the handbag she had taken out earlier that day and she threw her lipstick and lip gloss in it, then a handkerchief and her phone. Just as she was about to walk out of the room, her phone rang and it happened to be an unknown number. She stopped at the door to answer the call and it was the driver that was sent to pick her up. So she left the room while still on the phone with the driver.
