He stretched his hand toward her. She looked down at it, "You want to dance ballet."

"Yeah, can you?"

"I can try." She replied, nodded once and she placed a hand on his. He moved in a half-circular manner and she followed in his step.

And at that moment, Ed Sheeran's voice boomed through the room as Perfect began to play.

Lola shook her head in puzzlement, amazed.

🎶🎶... Follow my lead.
I found a girl
Beautiful and sweet
I never knew you were the someone waiting for me...

"A perfect song for a perfect moment, don't you think?" Lola asked Demilade as she placed her right hand on his left hand and the left on his right directly above each other.

He chuckled and nodded. He spun her around with his right hand and then placed her hands on his shoulder. They moved back and forth in rhythm with his hand on the small of her waist and hers on his shoulder and chest.

Demilade took Lola's hands off him slowly and she danced from his left-hand side to his right hand in a swirling manner. Then back to his front. She tilted her head to the back, then she fell backward as Demilade held her back, halfway to the ground. They both chuckled close to each other faces and he pulled them back up with his arms around his waist.

"I never knew you could dance ballet." She said turning around in his arm that cupped her waist loosely.

"I know a little." He answered as she back him, her backside leaning in his front. "And you? How did you learn how to dance ballet? You seem good at it."

Lola placed both her hands on Demilade hand that was wrapped around her tummy all the while moving rhythmically from left to right

"While in secondary school. A dancing group." She answered his question, her head resting on the left-hand side of his chest.

"That's cool," Demilade commented and he loosen his grip and watched Lola swirl forward. He grinned at how perfectly she swung in her heels.

"Yeah. But I gave it up. Couldn't afford Ballerina class." She watched Demilade walk closer to her, curling his right hand across the small of her waist. She did the same, curling her left arm on his right arm to his back, staring at his grinning face.

They continued dancing in rhythm from left to right and right to left. He let her upper body fall backward with his hands still on her back and he pulled her back up with his other hand, holding hers.

She spun around to his right and his left with him holding her hand upward and she swirled in front of him, a broad smile plastered on her face, then she stepped closer to him. He took her hands and placed them one after the other on his chest and his shoulder respectively. He returned his hand to her back and continued dancing.

They stayed that way, staring at each other faces with identical grins as they moved from left to right in a slow rhythm as the music comes to an end.

He kissed her hand that was on his shoulder, eyes locked with her. Lola felt flushed. Their faces mirrored each other with excited grins.

"That was incredible," Lola commented, breathlessly.

Demilade nodded, chuckling. "Yeah. Yes. It was better than I expected."

"Why? Because you didn't know you could dance so well?"

"No, I have a bit of talent for dancing but I just never work on it. Making money and surviving were priorities."

"So why? Because to me, it was perfect. You did great."

"Thanks. It is because," He paused. "It is the first time that I will be dancing with a woman."

Lola grinned and she felt that butterfly feeling in the pit of her stomach that she usually feels when she realized she was Demilade first.

"Really?"

"Yes. You're my first. I'm glad it was with my fiancée." He said, taking her hand that was on his chest and planting a kiss on it. She blushed, looking down at his chest.

"I'm honored." She told him. "You are amazing."

"And you're perfect. vous êtes parfait pour moi." She leaned upward and kissed him shortly on the lips. She pulled away and watched him lick his bottom lip. "Let's go sit down before I get turned on." She smirked and nodded. Then they both went back to their seat.

"What's the name of this song?" Lola asked noticing the new song that was playing. "I love the sound of it."

"As for me, I love the lyrics," Demilade said. "....you turn a moment to forever. And I know... you could fall for a thousand kings and hearts. And could give you a diamond ring. When I fall, you see the best in me...." He sang the chorus looking at Lola in his usual way.

Lola blushed and broke eye contact. Then she said at the same time as him, looking back up. "The Joker and The Queen." Then they burst into laughter at the same time.

Demilade asked when they had both stopped laughing with a small smile on his face. "How do you know that's the title?" He had a small smile on his face.

"I just guess. I heard it after the first verse." She smiled.

He nodded. "Yeah, that's it. The Joker and the Queen."

"You're the joker and I am the queen."

He laughed, nodding. They remained quiet, staring at each other.

"Today was amazing, right?"

She looked at the table, the direction where the lights had to turn up, and where the bouquet of flowers had been used to wish her a happy birthday. And then her ring finger.

"More than amazing." She answered him. Demilade grinned in reply as he took her hand and kissed it while she giggled.

                                          
 

Longest date ever!!!

Firstly, I apologize for the length of the chapter. I want us to end this book on time and the chapters are getting longer. So accept my apology. 🙏🙏

Tbh, I have never written such a long date. And a romantic date if you agree. I think I wrote some of my most amazing scenes in 30 Days Deal. And I am proud of myself👏👏 I'm so in love with Demilade and Lola. After Laila and Mathias, I think they are my favorite characters. (If you don't know who Laila and Mathias are, you should go and read Facade 😁😁)

So I hope you enjoy reading this chapter as much as I enjoyed writing it. Because I did.
