"I'm sorry." He apologized to her. Jerry glanced his way like he couldn't believe what he just said. It almost sounded like force, something he had to do when he apologized to him earlier but he said it so easily to his little sister.

"It's okay since you apologize." She paused and glanced at her brother Jeremiah. She moved from one foot to the other before she said calmly. "I know my daddy isn't the best guy to you... But he is a good man." Demilade was stunned for a moment. She continued. "He made a mistake and he is paying for it. I hope you can give him a chance to correct the things he did. My life would have sucked if he wasn't here. Please forgive him." She said calmly, surprising Demilade and Jerry. And just in time, Bertha came out with her wheels.

Demilade felt like he was stuck. He doesn't even know how to answer her. Even her brother and mother were grateful that he came. They weren't courageous enough to admit what their father and husband did respectively and plead on his behalf. But she did and that left him, awestruck.

"I forgive him... Tiara... but I... I don't know if I can do more than that."

"At least, you forgive him." Bertha finally spoke up from where she sat in her wheelchair close to her immediate sister. All eyes went to her. Tiara was also surprised that she spoke. She moved aside to give her a chance to see Demilade clearly.

She smiled a little. "Despite everything you came. You also helped us when we send the anonymous message. We never expected a reply but you surprised us by replying. I am grateful that you didn't decide to pay evil with evil because I know what Dad did to you and your mother was unforgivable. But you choose to forgive him and that is more than enough. Thank you so much." Bertha appreciated and she bowed slightly with a smile.

Jeremiah looked at his sister and he smiled. She had said just exactly as he had in mind. He didn't have much courage to speak up but his sisters did. They had actually been the ones who took after their father's outspoken character.

He peered at Demilade and he saw him nod his head in understanding.

"I have to. But you're welcome." She smiled in reply.

The corner of his lips tugged in a small smile before he turned back to the girl in front of him. She was grinning at him.

"We are grateful. And I know that I can't force you but I do wish you will have a change of mind in the future because he is regretful." Tiara said to Demilade.

"Tiaraoluwa." Someone called her name sternly, interrupting her. It was Bertha. She turned to her elder sister and frowned at her, then she peered back at Demilade.

"I know that it can take time for it but please think about it," Demilade replied with a nod. She smiled again. "Thank you. But... can I get a ticket to the wonderland in Abuja. The ticket is too expensive. Dad does not have much on him now. I want to go celebrate my sixteenth birthday there." She changed to her childish attitude, pouting. She rubbed the back of her ears repeatedly with puppy eyes.

She sure acts like Lola. Demilade thought and he couldn't help but chuckle.

"Of course."

"Yeah!" She exclaimed. She beamed with joy.

"I'll send you a VIP card and some tickets for your friends."

She opened her eyes wide in shock. "Really? You're going to give me a VIP card..." He nodded. "Oh, my God! That's the best gift I have ever received in my entire life. I'll consider it my early sixteenth birthday present. Thank you thank you thank you so much. I love you." She said sincerely and she wiped away the tears gathering in her eyes as she grinned.

"You're welcome."

She looked at her brother with a look that said I told you. He just smiled at her and said nothing.

"I have to leave now."

"Okay. Let me walk you to your car." She said with enthusiasm. And Demilade shrugged.

The longest chapter in the 30 Days Deal!!!! *crack knuckles* Good job me.

I'm sorry but I didn't want to divide the chapter. It would just prolong the book. I want this scene with Demilade father in a chapter. Initially, it was meant to be in the previous chapter but it was getting too long, so I cut it off. But at least it makes up for the late update.

When I started this part, my head was blank for days. I didn't know how I was going to write it. It was just 2k words. And I left it for days and finally came back to it. And when I started editing it, it grew to this.

Although it isn't up to what I really want but I am glad that I still did something.

So here it is. Demilade had finally settled with his demons.
