Just some cute family fluff (っ^▿^)

All William did was spend time cooped up in his office, working his head off. His wife was often never home, so William had to work at home and take care of his troublesome kids. The problem was, William never really got the chance to have family bonding time with them.
Clara was out late like usual, working all day long. William just wished that she'd come home sooner enough to eat dinner with each other. William just let out a tired sigh, going back to work.

But.

All that stuff was now in the past. William had changed.

William shook those thoughts out of his head as he stood there, in his room. He didn't know how to bring a family back together in one piece, when it had shattered into a million glass shards already.

Meanwhile.......

"Wah! Mike, your spinning me around too much! Ugh, now I'm getting super dizzy." Elizabeth complained, as Michael rolled his eyes.

"Does it look like I care? No, it doesn't." Michael responded back with a laugh as Elizabeth screamed for her dad.

Instantly, at Elizabeth's comment, Michael frowned in confusion. Surely, Elizabeth was afraid of father- no, dad. Michael bit his lip in frustration. He was trying his best to call his.... Dad, not father. Even with two months worth of practice, Michael still couldn't get it right.

Michael sighed, rubbing his head in exhaustion. He loved his siblings very much, but taking care of them was too much work. Plus, he wanted his free time as well. With his siblings, at this point, Michael would get zero time alone. Zero.

'Why couldn't dad take care of them?!' Michael thought to himself, getting angry. Babysitting his siblings wasn't his job. It was his father's...... no, dad's job. Michael grit his teeth in frustration.

"Elizabeth? What happened?" Michael jumped at the sound of his... dad's voice. He lifted his head, his eyes meeting his dad's dark purple ones.

Michael was quite surprised by his dad's expression that he held on his face. Michael didn't know if it was fake or not, but his dad seemed concerned about them. His kids. Before Michael could say anything, his dad motioned for both of them to climb on their couch.

"C'mere, you two." Michael raised an eyebrow, but he went over to his dad anyways, sitting on the left side of him whilst Lizzy sat on his right.

William smiled softly as he wrapped his arms around his kids. Michael's eyes widened in shock, leaning into his dad's hug for comfort.

When Michael snuck a glance over to his younger sister, Elizabeth, she was already asleep. Michael smiled affectionately at her.

"Alright. This might sound weird to you, Michael, but I love you. I really do." With those words, Michael's face flushed from embarrassment. He nodded his head, leaning further into his dad's arms.

They felt safe,m. Michael felt as if he was protected from anything bad coming his way. Like nothing bad would happen with his dad around him.

Smiling to himself, Michael closed his eyes, feeling drowsy.

"Love you too, dad......" Michael's voice trailed off as he fell asleep in his dad's arms.

William smiled softly, looking at his kids. Perhaps repairing that trust he'd broken with his actions could be fixed. Permanently.
