dear readers,
i came up with the story of CACOPHONY when i realized that i'm too inconsistent to finish writing an entire novel at this point in my life. i gravitate toward psychological horror, dark romances, and the idea of an irresistible, incomprehensible force pushing two people together, which all birthed this short story. i am also inspired by my own life, and this story will be very derivative of my own feelings and experiences.
i was a bit disappointed to see the amount of fetishization of gay relationships and romanticization of abuse on wattpad, so i decided to create something that would deviate from the stereotypical portrayal of lgbt+ characters on this app. although the romantic aspects of this story won't be the most important part of the plot, i hope that you will enjoy, and possibly connect with, ROBBIE and CYRUS' journeys anyway.

ABOUT THE STORY
meet ROBBIE, the music lover.
he surrounds himself with beautiful noise to drown out the ugly noise. he is a complete loner until he crosses paths with cyrus.
meet CYRUS, the hockey player.
he is reckless and an academic failure in the eyes of those around him. he likes robbie for reasons unknown.
CACOPHONY is primarily a horror more than it is a romance. it is inspired by the idea of cosmic horror and biblically accurate angels. see also: Slow (2017).
