They all start to dine.

Everyone is chit-chatting about anything and everything, since it's very rare for all of them to gather at one place.

Sejeong is quietly playing with her food.

She's sitting between Ji Eun and Hera.

"Are you not feeling well?" Hera asks quietly worried.

Ji Eun turns to her too.

"Is the food of not your taste? Should I ask kyungsoo to bring something else"

"No no the food is fine. I'm good too" she replies smiling again, as to not worry her friends and ruin their mood.

Ji Eun and Hera share a glance, they might have got the idea of why she's feeling down.

"Tell us if you don't feel good and wanna go home" Hera tells her consoling.

She just nods smiling "Let's just complete the food and leave without worrying anyone " she thinks to herself.

Kyungsoo then orders for the main course.

When suddenly someone enters and everyone looks over.

Sejeong was so busy in her thoughts she didn't notice Hera shifting to other chair and Sehun taking her place.

"Sorry for being late"

Sejeong almost jumps off her seat.

"No worries Sehun-ah" Jongdae says with a knowing grin and everyone smile.

Sejeong goes back to eating her food or at least trying to. 

"Hey" Sehun whispers to her to which she replies a little "Hi" 

He notices something was wrong and looks up at Ji Eun and Chanyeol, who are looking at him.

They just shrug at once and encourage him to do something about it.

 "How do you like the food?" he tries to initiate a conversation.

"It's great" she replies giving him a quick (fake) smile and turns back to eating.

He frowns at the very short and cold answers he was getting, rather than the sweet, shy ones he fell in love with.

He helplessly looks back at his friends for any help.

They mouth him to try to talk things out.

"Did something happen? Did someone tell you something?" he asks genuinely concerned.

This just riles her anger and hurt her even more.

"I'll be back in a bit" she whispers to Ji Eun and she just nods understanding.

"Excuse me" she then excuses herself politely to everyone else and stands up to leave.

All of them urge Sehun to go behind her.

He hurriedly goes to find her.

He finds her walking towards the backyard and pulls her by her arm to stop.

She turns back and removes her hand from his hold.

 "Can you please tell me what's wrong please?" he asks with a concerned frown.

"Nothing is wrong"

"Then what's the matter?" he's losing patience now.

"Nothing" she says again trying to control her tears.

She tries to walk away again but he pulls her back and pins her on the wall.

He isn't angry she can see that.

He's concerned and maybe hurt because of her behaviour.

"But why? " she thinks to herself.

"Why's he concerned? why must he behave like i matter something to him? " 

He sighs.

"Ok fine don't tell me whatever it is. I won't force you But listen to me" he leaves a gap between them.

This makes her look up at him.

He's calm now.

He takes her hand in his and walks into the backyard where, for some reason it is dark.

As they walk to the centre, a spotlight comes upon them.

But the next thing Sejeong sees is, Sehun smiling genuinely at her while still holding her hands in his.

She somehow senses there's something about to happen, but she doesn't want to ponder on that and break her heart expecting something good.

"So...." Sehun starts speaking in his normal raspy tone, sending chills down her body.

"I don't know what got you all riled up this evening and if it is because of something I did, I apologize, but hear me out just this once...please" he continues, looking deeply into her eyes with an expecting gaze.

She just nods, signalling him to continue.

"I have never been a person who thinks about future and plans it beforehand...."

"I didn't even expect to meet someone whom I would cherish forever and have this urge to protect them at all costs with my life"

This makes her frown not knowing why he was saying all of this to her.

"I've never had any lovers, neither in the past nor now.... I had crushes or maybe flings but no serious ones"

He chuckles for some reason.

She was about to say something but he hushes her.

"Let me complete first.... I know I'm not good with words, so lemme complete before I forget everything I practiced" he says sheepishly smiling.

"What did he practice?" she wonders to herself.

"Is he practicing his lines on me to tell them to someone else?" she starts having negative thoughts as usual.

"I never knew I would fall for someone and that too this fast and this deep"

This breaks her heart thinking this is definitely gonna hurt her to core.

So she tries to wriggle her hands out of his, to which he just tightens his hold.

"And above everything I didn't knew it'd be someone who caught my attention with just one look....

and that someone would be you...

So Sejeong...." her breath hitches when she hears her name.

He leaves her hand and she suddenly feels the loss of warmth.

But instead he goes on his one knee holding her left hand and taking out something from his overcoat's pocket.

She gasps when she sees a ring in his hand.

"Will you be mine?"
