All of a sudden both Maya and Leah who were racing side by side caught a deadly whiff of an unwanted scent.
Maya barks out a cough slowing down, 'I think I need water.'
Leah jumps on backwards and bumps onto Maya, 'Get behind me! Now Maya!'
Paul, 'FUCK!'
Maya then felt a shiver down her spine when she saw something move at the corner of her side. The loud howl Paul sent made her claws come out of her paws.
Maya, 'Leah! I think I saw it!'
Leah, 'It's up on the trees. Paul I don't know if it's alone! There's practically no scent since it rained.
Paul, 'I'm almost there! Kid stay with Leah!'
Maya, 'Okay!'
The tree branches shook hard as Leah and Maya watched the vampire leap from tree to tree.
Leah, 'It's getting away!'
At the very moment multiple voices came connected.
Sam, 'Where are you?'
Leah, 'Sam! It's heading out! We're down the rock line towards the big tree.'
Jacob, 'WHERE IS SHE?' MAYA ARE YOU THERE?
