Fluttershy knew that Rainbow was fast, but was she fast enough to get them to school on time?
Fluttershy felt like she was flying on the sidewalk, which scared her a little. She wasn't used to this or running at all for that matter, unless she was late feeding her animals. Thankfully Rainbow was with her so she wouldn't get lost. Something was still bothering her though...
"Um...Rainbow, can you-"
"What?! I can't hear you over my beating the school bell and not getting a tardy!"
In other words, she probably spoke too quietly again. She needs to stop that...
A few minutes later, they arrived at the school but didn't see any students around.
"Aw man! I thought I'd make it this time..." Rainbow kicked a pebble in frustration.
"Unfortunately not." A new voice said.
Fluttershy looked around for the voice and finally saw someone at the top of the steps. She seemed to be a teacher or an authority figure and she was a bit intimidated by her.
"Vice principal Luna! What are you doing here?" Rainbow laughed nervously.
"Apparently giving you two tardies, and making sure nobody is trying to skip." She looked at Fluttershy who hid behind Rainbow. "Is she new? I've never seen her before."
"Yeah actually. She's Fluttershy and it's her first day."
Said girl poked her head out. "Um...hi."
"Hello. Sorry if I seemed rude, I thought you were someone this troublemaker skips with."
"I do not skip!...well, recently anyway."
Luna rolled her eyes. "Dash, you can go with her to the front office to get her situated, but I want both of you to go straight to class afterwards. Am I clear?" That last part seemed to be directed at her new friend.
"Crystal!" Rainbow did a mock salute.
Luna sighed and went back into school, apparently done with her shenanigans.
Rainbow dragged Fluttershy to the front office to get her schedule. "I'll show you around later because as much as I'd like to skip a couple hours, Luna might pop up somewhere and I'll be in more trouble."
"Okay..." Yeah, that made sense. She didn't want to be in any more trouble on her first day.
"What I can do is show you to your first period since we're both in the same class."
"All right..."
Rainbow once again dragged her out of the office. Maybe she'll go to her first hour from now on...
