(I know this isn't a great way to start a book but I went too fast last time with their meeting and stuff lmao don't kill me please-)
"Fluttershy! It's time to get up!"
Does she have to? It's so nice and warm under her covers...but then again she has animals to feed.
"All right I'm up..." The smell of bacon made her want to get up more, though she won't eat any. She'll probably take an apple or something.
Her room was an alright size, not too big but not too small. Her walls were yellow with butterflies on them while her floor and ceiling were painted pink at her request. There was a bookshelf with books on taking care of animals and being a vet, along with a book on baking from Pinkie Pie she has yet to return against one wall, while on the other side drawers with a mirror and pictures of her and her brother, Zephyr. Her bed had a little table next to it where her phone was kept. There was also a cage where her pet bunny, Angel, stayed in.
Speaking of Angel (who was anything but, despite the name) he was impatiently tapping his foot and glaring at her as if to say "Well? I want to eat too! Where's my food?"
"Hello Angel." After feeding the other animals, Fluttershy opened the cage door and held out her hand for Angel to jump on. He did so and they went down the stairs to get breakfast.
"There you are dear. Good morning." Her mother was getting breakfast ready. "There's fruit for you and a carrot for Angel in the bowl."
"Thanks Mom." She gave a carrot to Angel and get herself an apple.
"You're going to be late for school if you don't hurry."
"I know." She grabbed another apple for later and ran out the door, waving goodbye to her mother. Angel had jumped into her book bag like he normally did.
She didn't like living in a neighborhood. What she wanted to do was move out and go live in the forest, maybe in a little cottage so she can take care of animals. But she has to get done with schooling first.
While she was busy thinking, someone ran by her and knocked her down.
"Sorry about that!" A boy shouted at her as she got up and dusted herself off. She recognized him as Sorain from the soccer team.
Canterlot High's teams were very popular around other schools, so she knew the players.
"Watch where you're going dumbass!" A rainbow-haired girl shouted after him before stopping in front of Fluttershy. "Sorry about him, he usually wants girls to fall in love with him but they usually fall for the pavement instead."
Fluttershy giggled. "It's okay." She wasn't hurt that much, maybe a bruise or two. Then she realized who she was talking to.
"I'm Rainbow Dash, but you probably knew that huh?"
"Um, well..."
Wait, the Rainbow Dash? What would the captain be talking to her for? She wasn't that interesting and she wasn't even popular, she just moved in this weekend!
"Helooo?"A hand was waving in front of her face and she blinked, coming to attention.
"Um...y-yes?"
The other girl sighed. "I was going to ask if you wanted to walk to school with me since my team basically ditched me."
She wasn't wrong, the other members were already ahead of them.
"Okay..."
"Great, let's go!" She grabbed Fluttershy's hand and took off running, much to Fluttershy's surprise and slight discomfort.
'School hasn't even started yet, and I already made a new friend.'
