The sun's rays sparkled across the blue ocean, making it look as if it were a sea made of glass. The sand beneath the guilds feet was warm and tickled some of their toes. There was a salty smell hanging around in the air. Little crabs made their was across the sand and birds flew in circles above.

"Beach day." Levy sighed and put up an umbrella then laid down a towel. Out of her bag she pulled a book, then sat down and began to relax.

Lucy stared at her blue haired friend in awe. She wished she could read a book and settle down, but she wasn't thinking and forgot to pack a book or journal. Lucy looked around at all the smiling and laughing faces around her, and she couldn't help but form a smile of her own. The blonde took off her jean shorts—leaving on her oversized T-Shirt—and stared to take a little walk around the beach.

She passed Romeo, Wendy, and Happy who were having a sandcastle contest.

Erza, Mira, Canna, and Juvia was arguing over something that happened Sorcerers Weekly.

Gajeel, Gray, and Natsu were fighting while splashing each other in the ocean.

Carla was talking to Lilly about something. 'Happy's gonna be jealous' Lucy thought while passing them.

As she continued her little stroll, she came across a small town. Well, more like a bunch of shops put together to attract the guests attention... not really a town.

"Flavorful Fudge, Upside-down Smoothies, Chloes Charming Clothing," As she continued to name off the stores, she couldn't help but laugh at the strange names. "Sparkly Flops for Fish?" She burst out in amusement.

"LUSHIE!" The blonde turned around and was met with the familiar blue exceed running into her chest.

"Ogh!" She stared down at him and arched an eyebrow. "What's wrong Happy?"

"Natsu's done it again!" Happy let go and flew up to be her level. "He's challenged Laxus to some stupid bet!"

"Ugh!" She pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed. "He's gonna get himself killed one of these days. Where are they at right now?"

"Back on the beach."

The two quickly headed back to join the crowd forming around the pinkette and the infamous Laxus. "YOU CAN'T BEAT ME THIS TIME!" Natsu smirked and pointed at him.

Laxus looked unamused by the fire mage. "Natsu, you act as if you actually stand a chance."

"Come on, Natsu!" Wendy groaned. "Why can't we have a normal day at the beach?"

"Yeah, Natsu! One normal day at the beach!"

"I agree with Wendy! No more fighting for the day!"

"Normal day!"

Numerous agreements could be heard from all around. Lucy sighed and shook her head. She was standing directly behind her pink haired boyfriend, and she was certain he hadn't noticed her yet.

"If it's a challenge Natsu wants, then it's a challenge he'll get." Natsus eyes lit up at Laxus sentence."How about a volleyball game?"

"Bring it on sparkly!" Natsus lips curled up into a smirk as he took his stance.

"Let me finish, retard." A tick mark formed on the blondes forehead. "Partners."

"Partners?" The pinkette tilted his head and frowned. "For volleyball?"

"Have you never played before?" Mira stepped forward. Natsu shook his head. Mira sighed and shook her head. "Let me explain the rules then?"
