"It's been a while since we've done this" Riley laughed, we were still in the field and we've been here for hours. I think it's like 2am right now
"We are going to be so tired at school tomorrow" I laughed
"Oh well" She said smiling at me
"This was very much needed" Riley said
After the couple of days she's had, I'd give up more then sleep to make her smile
"Do you remember our random road trip before our last Nationals?" I asked and Riley gasped a little

"yes! We took your dad's old truck and parked up at some random place and slept in the back of it. That trip has so many memories" She said sitting up crossing her legs
"Well rumor has it that Miss Kate is busy with J-Troupe Auditions this week so we have the weekend off" I said making Riley bit her lip a little
"Can we?" She asked and I nodded
"hell yeah we can" I replied laughing
"all we have to do is get through School tomorrow then we can set of tomorrow evening and be back by Sunday" I finished
"sounds great to me" She smiled

There was something about this morning, whether it be that I only got 2 hours sleep or what but I felt different
I can't quite explain it
As I pulled up to school, I saw Riley already over with everyone. Looks like they all made up since yesterday
Riley wasn't even mad with them she just needed some time to process it all you know? That information wasn't exactly the nicest for her to find out that is for sure
"Heyyy" I cheered walking over
"Yo mann" West said as I got there, the girls were all in their own little conversations 
"We are all planning an A-Troupe party tomorrow, you down?" Max asked and I chuckled looking at Riley
"I can't I'm afraid, I have plans all weekend" I replied catching Riley's eyes for a second and receiving her beautiful smile

4th period rolled around and it was time for Chem, the upside to this lesson is Riley is my lab partner, the downside is both Beth and Sam are in the class
"Okay but tell me why you look like a zombie" Riley laughed as we sat at our desk, neither of the other two were here yet
"Maybe because by the time I got home, I had 2 hours sleep before needing to get up for school" I laughed 
"Are you even going to be okay with driving tonight?" Riley asked and I nodded
"Piper wants to see you so I'll just have a power nap before hand" I replied making her roll her eyes
She was about to say something else when the door to our science room opened again revealing both Sam and Beth together
I looked at Riley who didn't look angry, upset or anything. She was just vacant
"Are you okay?" I asked and Riley looked at me nodding
"yeah" She said before putting her head down to do some work 
He's truly hurt her more then I think Riley will ever admit
Best believe he isn't going to get away with that shit...

School had ended and I had agreed to meet Riley outside by my car but I had something ot take care of first
I walked over to his locker to see him stood there with Beth
"oh hey James" Beth smirked and I rolled my eyes at her
"Dip" I replied and she placed her hands on her hip
"I'm not telling you again Beth" I growled making her roll her eyes walking away
"What do you want" Sam asked opening his locker, I quickly slammed it shut to make sure I had his undivided attention

"Listen here buddy. You can't walk around with your head held so fucking high" I said making him look at me confused
"Sorry who do you think your talking to" He said crossing his arms
"Last time I checked you were a dick who cheated on her once before" he smirked
"Yeah that's the difference between me and you Sam. I did it once, mine was a little kiss an in the moment kind of thing. YOU went the full 9 yards, you fucked her and with that you fucked any form of friendship you could have tried to salvage with Riley" I explained

"you lost this amazing girl, one who would have done nothing but make you the happiest guy in the fucking world. For what? For Beth?" I asked making Sam's gaze soften
"Yeah sure, Beth is pretty girl. Every girl is pretty in their own way but Beth, Beth is someone who doesn't know the definition of Faithful. It's only going to be a matter of time before you're replaced and then you'll be alone" I said, Sam went to speak but I cut him off before he had the chance

"Riley has been nothing but faithful to you, she did nothing but push people away that got to close" I said and he scoffed
"Like you?" He asked and I nodded
"there have been many moment, many times where I could have made a move on Riley and you weren't there to stop it but I respect her too much to do that and at the time she respected you too much" I said
"You lost a fucking amazing girl man and I hope you fucking realise that" I replied before turning to head out to meet Riley

"And what you think she's going to just take you back just like that James? She was a mess after you buddy" Sam said trying to trigger a reaction from me but I shook my head
"She's not just gonna take me back, she has more respect for herself then that but best believe I'll be with her every step of the way when it comes to getting over your dumb ass" I laughed making him glare at me
"You aren't so high and mighty James" He said and I nodded
"no I know, the difference between you and me Sam is I've held my hands up and admitted what I did was wrong. I'm not looking for Mummy to buy me out of my problems" I replied looking him up and down one more time before heading out of the door
