Sovieshu's POV

What is this delusional Viscount saying? Does it have to do something with my parent's affair before?

On top of that, he has the audacity to betray me right in front of my eyes? Oh well, it's not like I am loyal to him anyway.

"How dare you accuse me of such?! Watch your damn mouth, Lotteshu!" I scolded him to assert my authority over the court.

I could see the smug chuckle from that chicken's (A/N: It's Heinrey) face along with Navi's.

The pope sighed and cleared his throat. "In what grounds are these accusations for, Viscount?"

Lotteshu extended his arms and laughed somehow nervously and maniacally "Lord, forgive me but I will now confess the entire truth to the whole empire!"

The crowd got wild again and whispered amongst each other. I was born with heightened hearing, which made me feel bad every time Mother and Father would scream on top of their lungs regarding their arguments whether politically or infidelity.

Who...knew.... I'd end up being the same with him?

Their whispers start to eat me up with a famished monster made out of my fears. It started to look like they were talking about me and how I am a failure of an emperor.

I clutched onto my royal coat and tried to keep my composure as that man opened his wretched mouth.

"I had an affair with the late Empress aka your mother, Sovieshit!"

As soon as he slurried my name, the knights pulled out their swords to point at his neck, which I paid no attention of. What matters is the truth.

He ran his mouth, revealing all of the atrocities of my family. I couldn't help but feel shame. It was as if the land was about to devour me, but I have to keep strong.

~~ FLASHBACK ~~

A young Sovieshu and Navier is seen studying diplomatic books from the Northern, Western and Southern Empire.

"I'm a little hungry, I'll just get snacks for us, alright?" The young Sovieshu smiled brightly and strut away towards the maid who was also its way onto his mother's room, whom is being followed by Lotteshu.

The viscount only bowed at the sight of the Crown Prince.

"Can I have those cookies as well? Me and Navier are hungry."

"Your Highness--- I-- I cannot, this is for your mother. If you'd like, I can definitely make you one after this, would that suffice?"

Lotteshu suddenly had a grim idea and smirked.

"You know, scullery maid... Give some for the poor prince. He has been working all day and deserves a snack. It's for the future of the empire, right?"

"But-- Lord Lotte--"

"Shhh." Lotteshu grabbed some of the plethora of cookies and gave it to the unsuspecting little prince.

"Here you go, My Prince. Enjoy this one with your princess."

"Thank you!" Sovieshu received the cookies and ran back to Navier.

"Lotteshu-- those are cookies to keep the Empress---"

"I know. Why do you think I gave it to him? Not a word about this or the promotion of your brother will never go through, and I can assure you, you will be beheaded if you don't shut your mouth."

"U-Understood..."

The maid and noble tandem finally reached the late Empress' room. She looked so bored wearing only her robe.

"What took you two so long? Where are my cookies?"

"Here they are, my love." Viscount Lotteshu said, sitting down on the bed, giving the empress a kiss in the lips.

"I shared some of these to the Crown Prince. That's why we took long."

"Ha! Serves that kid's right. To think I have to raise him as my child! How appalling! May Osis' bloodline be uproot!" The Empress rolled her eyes and ate the cookies.

~~ FLASHBACK END ~~

"You were never a legitimate heir and were born of a concubine! Much like your heir now with that damn slave! Hell! IT MAY NOT EVEN BE YOURS! BECAUSE RASHTA IS A HARLOT WHO WOULD DO ANYTHING TO SURVIVE! Do you think it was just a coincidence she went to that forest?! SHE KNOWS!" He pointed his finger onto Rashta.

Everyone was shocked with this revelation. I could feel everyone wanting to revolt at this point. Viscount Lotteshu spared no detail with regards to the cookie and their audacious affairs.

"Yes! The late Empress and I were lovers! It was our plan to take over the throne and have my children be the heirs instead! Much like your father, your mother also cheated. Oh wait, mother." He quoted the word once again as an emphasis of my true identity.

I couldn't help but look down and lose composure. All of these truths presented onto me. Altogether. It hasn't been a whole day and this trial is already taking a toll on me...

I looked at my sun, Navier, and my moon, Rashta, who can only look at me with pity. I trembled.

As far as I can remember, Navier denied those cookies and I only ate them. If Mother used it to become infertile...does that mean...

No... That cannot be! There has be a way! This is only a nightmare!
