Dreaming Comes to Life

I had the weirdest dream last night, it was about Melos. I don’t remember much, but I do remember his face. I remember that it was like a recap of the day, but remixed. When I was changing in my room, Melos was in the tree, looking through my closed blinds and curtains. He knocked on my window, and I was crazy enough to open it, still fully nude. But I open it, and look out the window to see Melos, staring at me, fully nude.

“Can I join you?” he asked me, with a sneaky grin on his face. With that, I threw a rock at him. I have no clue where it was from, but I threw it at him. Then I saw that it hit him in the face, and he was bleeding. He wiped away the blood, to reveal a cut at the corner of his eye. He looked at me, then jumped out of the tree, ran across my yard, and climbed the other tree, toward the fence. I didn’t see anything else because I looked at my clock, and it was four in the morning. Then it was all black. I jolted awake, and checked my clock, when in the “real world” and it was 4:02 in the morning.

Did that just happen, in real life? I don’t know because I can’t fathom why I would be changing all of my clothes at four in the morning. Whatever, I just go back to bed, and wake up, at 10 am, to another hot day, a Saturday. God, I forgot why it’s so hot! It’s the summer! So I’m going to be seeing this guy everyday! It’s just not fair at all! Why does it always have to be me? I always get the bad luck!

I just kept ranting off until I finally couldn’t think of anything to say. I went downstairs to the kitchen, and found a note on the dining table:

Roxy,

Your mother and I got an emergency call this morning. You will have to fend for yourself today. Make yourself some dinner, or you can order a pizza and invite a couple of friends, just no party. We will have to be in all day.

We love you,

Mom and Dad.”

I threw the note in the trash and poured myself some juice and made some toast. ‘Who do they think I am? Alex? No, I am nothing like my brother! I don’t throw parties, and I know how to cook. Just because I don’t feel like cooking today, I’m ordering a pizza, with honey garlic wings. Mmmm, wings. And I’ll invite Melos over. Might as well. Not like I really have a choice. Everyone else is on vacation. I don’t get why they need to, we live in freaking Maui! Whatever, I really don’t care anymore.

I walked over to Melos’s house, and knocked on the door. He was at the door almost instantly, before the doorbell tone finished. “Hey Melos, I was wondering if—” then I saw that he had a scar on the side of his eye, like the scar that he had in my dream. I quickly finished my sentence “If you wanted to come over to my place for some pizza and wings? My parents got and emergency call from the hospital and won’t be back until late. They told me that I could have a few people over and order some food.”

“Oh yea, sure, thanks. My parents were called as well, so I’m alone today too. When should I come over?”

“Oh, um, when do you want dinner?”

“I really don’t care. It’s up to you.”

“Oh, okay, I’ll order for like 7:30? Is that good? Then you can come over for like six, we can watch a movie, some TV, and we can have some drinks. Do you drink?”

“Yea that sounds good. Yea I drink, when I really want to.”

“Okay, my parents don’t mind if I do either. So you coming at six then? And I’ll call the pizza guy at seven for 7:30?

“Yea sounds great. See ya then, Roxy.”

“Okay Melos, bye.” Then I walked away, back towards my house. ‘Oh my god, he has the scar, the scar from last night’s dream!!! Okay, let me think about why I would have had to change last night at 4 in the morning...*thinks for the whole way back and while walking into her room* Ah...now I know! I got a bloody nose from the heat! So I got up and it was all over my clothes! And it soaked through to my bra and underwear...so I had to change all of my clothes. But it doesn’t explain why I jolted up. Hmmmm. *thinks for 10 minutes, then jolts upright* I was at the window, and when I threw the rock at him, I began walking backwards towards my bed, while getting some kind of clothes on. Then when he was running across the lawn, I think I fainted. But for 2 minutes. Oh my god, I invited a perv and trespasser over for dinner! Oh man, this is not going to be good. I have to make sure it is true though. I’m going to ask him when and how I got that scar. It will make for an awkward conversation, but it’s what I have to do.’
