RICK GRIMES HAD taken watch all night, unable to sleep, waiting for the ghost of his wife to return or for her to just vanish into thin air. To fade away from his twisting mind. He was growing impatient. He looked through his binoculars from atop the runaway that connected cell blocks D and C, he watched as his sister sat down in front of the graves in the yard.

Melissa Grimes stared at the cross in front of her, the letter "M" was carved messily and hastily in the middle of the wooden surface, it sent a shiver down her spine.

She'd been there already. She visited their graves. She contemplated the thin line between life and death. Yeah, she'd done that.

To think that dying was the better option was just selfish.

But maybe, death was the better option. No suffering. No fighting. Just peace, or well, nothing at all.

So, so selfish of little Melissa Grimes. Always running away from her feelings. Always trying to escape them.

NO. Surviving was better. Fighting to see another day. Grateful for the second chance life had giving her. Fighting to make a better world even if this one takes everything from you.
