Im gonna make two chapters where:

You reject Player's confession
You accept Player's confession

Everything was silent now.
Well...this was awkward...
I dont know how to feel about Player...i mean..I didnt knew!
I thought something bad happened to them since they were acting so distant.
Turns out i was the one who made them this way.
I sighed.

I decided to....

"Player..."
"Please come out."
I pleaded.
Player hesitated before taking the blanket off again.
I held both their hands and looked them in the face.
"Look,that's cute and all but im sorry."

"Im just not ready to be in a relationship yet."
I mumbled.
They stared blankly at me before opening their mouth to speak.
"O-oh..is that so...Its fine!Dont worry.I completely understand."
They stammered.
I gave them a small awkward smile before letting go of their hands.
Haha...well this is more awkward now...
We both just sat there in silence,avoiding eye contact or just looking at eachother in general.

"Wait."
Player said suddenly.
I looked at them,confused.
"Are we still friends?"
They asked,looking down on their lap and fidgeting with their fingers out of nervousness.
"Ahah-Well...Yes,of course we still are friends."
I chuckled.I felt a bit weird with Player now after that sudden confession,but they still are my best friend and always will be.Even if they liked me.
"Really..?You're not mad?"
Player looked up to me.
"Why would i get mad?You think you confessing your feelings to me would make me hate you and end our friendship?"
I said,seeing their eyes lit up.

"Thank you."
"What are you saying thank you fo-UWAH!"
I gasped when player suddenly hugged me.
"I thought you would hate me for this but guess not...Thank you Y/N."
Before i could speak,i felt hot tears on my shoulder.

Were they...crying?
"Player-Oh no,Dont cry,you baby!Its fine,dont worry.Im not mad."
I assured them,rubbing circles on their back.Ive never really seen them cry before except for the time they got scammed in adopt me.I let out a small laugh at the memory,hoping Player didnt hear me.We stayed like this for a few minutes before i pulled away from the hug.

"Okay now,calm down.No more crying okay?Just because you like me doesnt change how i feel about you.You're still my best friend and always will be."
I smiled warmly at the figure in front of me who was now wiping their tears.
"Ahah-T-thanks again...Sorry for suddenly c-crying."
They chuckled.
"Well..."
"Ahah...."
"So then uhm,Do you wanna go get something to eat and play games to make you feel better?""
"Sure,id love that..."

We both got up from Player's bed and headed to Cashier's store although Player didnt wanna go looking like a mess so they wanted to look a bit better first before going.I agreed to this since i didnt really want Cashier to ask what happened or worry about both of us.We talked for a while on random stuff,i cracked a few jokes to make Player laugh and hope it'll make them feel better.I feel bad and guilty for rejecting them,who knew i was the reason they've been acting cold.I csnt stand to see them hurting like this although even if i didnt wanna hurt them,i couldnt accept their confession.I just wasnt ready yet.

Id rather us stay as...

Best friends...
Forever....
