Don't die Sabito, Iguro...

Start from the beginning

He expanded his lungs, the cold air of the high wind was like a refresh compared to the bottom where he could smell the corpses of demons.

Just like before, he positioned himself and jumped out to cut down the head.

'Slash'

Something shook the earth around Kanae, it wasn't an earthquake though it felt like one.
Her eyes tried to get away from the mist that surrounded her, but it was useless, she couldn't even differentiate far from close.

Should I use… no.

She closed her eyes, they were being hurt for no reason, her master had already told her many times to only use them for emergency situations only.

From left to right she had seen no one around her, it all felt cold, too cold, and too dark. Her pink eyes looked back at the sight of the moon above her. She smiled as the clouds cleared themselves and the light of the moon surrounded her, while a small rainbow was around it.

"Kanae-nee!"

She heard the small voice of her sister in front of her. Without a second to waste Kanae began to call out for her.

"Nobu! Shinobu!"
"Nee-san!"

The mist cleared up as she kept running along and found them on the other side of the river.

"Shinobu! Sabito-san!" Kanae gasped, "Iguro-san!"

Shinobu and Sabito only had minor bruises around them unlike Obanai who was more than beaten up, even the bleeding was getting out of control for a while now.

"Nee-san please help us." Without another word, Kanae walked through the lake and got out her things to treat him.

Two more nights.

For two more nights all of the demons had been dealt with.

Shinobu, Kanae and Sabito took turns in helping Obanai out with whatever they could so that he could rest instead.

"The demon's neck was so long and it stretched out everywhere endlessly."
"Where it not for the poison then we wouldn't have been able to take him by surprise."

Kanae nodded back and forth, careful to catch every word of what they told her, looking next to her at the kids while she ate the peach in her hands, with the juice slipping through her fingers. After it was all done, Kanae used her sleeves to clean her mouth before talking.

"I'm really sorry to not have been there with you."

"Don't worry about it!" Sabito patted her back, "At least it didn't seem as though I was that strong to begin with."

"He's right," Iguro continued. "The blood demon art was the most troublesome. Besides, I forgot to focus on the fight and got beaten up pretty easily... I'm sorry."

"Please don't say that Iguro-san! You were able to hold your own until Shinobu and Sabito-San came to help you! I'm sure you did your best!"

"Right! You were even the first to get out of the blood demon arts!" Sabito joined Kanae in cheering him on while Shinobu bobbed her head with peaches still on her mouth.

They couldn't see it due to the bandages, but a small smile had crept across Obanai's face.

The sun of the seventh day was upon them. Shinobu was the first to wake up, grabbing the others to do the same as well.

They all stood to watch the sun rise until the skies had changed their shade and the bright azure blue was upon them.

Obanai was the first to look down, letting out a sigh of relief as the week had ended.
